I wish that Tesla would consider selling and shipping their least expensive vehicles the same way that e-Bike sellers sold and shipped their products.
I'd pay an even lower price if Tesla shipped their cars to me with some assembly required on my end.
If I had to install the tires, I could live with that. If I had to install the seats, I could live with that. If I had to download the latest firmware in order for the car to run, I could live with that.
Cabin noise in current Model Y should be a push to ramp down production and, providing all components are available, push the newer model out sooner… but at least stop with the faulty units. To me, cabin noise is a non-negotiable. Known cabin noise, without customer orders, is reason enough to ramp down, if you're looking to reduce obsolescence. As you know, components are only part of the equation.
I'll keep watching to see when something speaks to me. My inner self told me my next car is a Tesla… and I'm just now starting my research… but that roadster looks hot 🔥

It's going to be hard to compete with those dam Chinese with some of the other wow stuff that's going to be hitting markets by no later than next year , the cheap stuff is getting better and better as well and when it comes to people wanting to spend more an get all sorts of treats have a look at Hyundai new van that's hitting the market by next year at latest wow it has a drone that you can get into yourself and fly slotted into the rear of the van and I'm betting that there will be lots of other Chinese manufacturers also bringing out these sorts of wow things to these days elons not the only kid on the block and the Chinese are putting out plenty of competition to prove that that's for sure . These days cheap or expensive it better be better or the masses will vote with the wallets and he might not do as good as he think he might not that I hope he doest don't get me wrong there I do hope he does do well but it's not going to be easy that's for sure
