Welcome to Yanjin, China – the narrowest city in the world! This unique city is truly mind-blowing, with over 100,000 residents living along a narrow strip of land between steep mountains and a polluted river. The adaptation of Yanjin to its natural environment is remarkable, as residents make the most of every inch of available space.
For those visiting rural China for the first time, Yanjin offers a refreshing change of pace from larger cities like Beijing and Shanghai. The tight-knit community, slower pace of life, and the resilience of its residents in the face of challenges make it a truly eye-opening experience.
Yanjin is just one of the many hidden gems waiting to be discovered in mainland China. As the creator of this video series explores even more fascinating and lesser-known places across the country, viewers are invited to stay tuned for more incredible insights.

Entering the world's narrowest city is an adventure like no other! The unique architecture, the close-knit community, and the distinct charm of such a compact space are truly captivating. Thank you for sharing this fascinating journey with us! 🌆❤
@littlechineseeverywhere is my favorite! Thanks for including her.
Great filming and editing bro!
Oh no…felt queasy just watching you guys on that path😮
Beautiful place
Iove to travel there too very fascinating can you take me there?
This is dope! Love this video bro! & I love how the police officers were actually helpful 😭🙏🏾🖤
Add Bangla and Hindi audio.
Yanjing population is 500k half of a million. And I've seen many videos on Chinese citys you should see chongquing its much crazier then any Chinese city trains going in buildings and a city square and gardens 22 floors above the road. China is honestly one of the coolest countrys its already the most developed country on earth. If Chinese rivers are dirty its mainly because of mud from the mountain i dont like heights i got no idea how you did something very dangerous walking on thin paths of a mountain
I wonder how many, if any, cannabis plants are being grown in Yanjin.
Oh my God are they every ever ever friendly there? Unbelievable
Fun Fact: The Narrowest Strip of Land in China is in Yanji, Jilin
I loved this…..
Little Chinese everywhere👍💪💞☝️
I really like this video. Thank you for showing us this. I'm from Regina Saskatchewan, October 2024
Beautiful places tend to nurture beautiful people and rich, vibrant cultures. Unfortunately, much of the world has become consumed by the relentless pursuit of hard work and money, often at the cost of well-being and connection. In contrast, I noticed that in this town, life moves at a more relaxed pace. People seem to have more time, fostering a strong sense of community, warm smiles, and an absence of crime and stress. It's a reminder that when life slows down, the quality of living truly flourishes. Thanks for the video….
That’s my favorite Chinese blogger,I love watching her videos…👏🏾😍👍🏾♥️🙏🏾

Ahhh my first introduction to Yanjing was through Yan! I love her channel, she's my favorite. (Sorry Drew haha!) So excited to watch this episode and so happy to see this collab 🙂
O camarada faz um vídeo para mostrar a cidade e fica a maior parte do vídeo conversando sentado numa cadeira conversando dentro da casa do senhor…..
Muito ruim o vídeo sem conteúdo nenhum
I didn't think foreigners were allowed to go to china anymore another
You always go to the coolest places
In my opinion, the best travel vloggers are those who interact with the locals and find out how they lived. That’s why Yan of Little Chinese Everywhere is my favorite. I’m so happy to see Yan here with you! This is another fantastic piece showing both unique natural surroundings and the people who live in this environment. Bravo 👏 🎉
chinese propaganda. The tour guide and the random guy he meet, all propaganda……..
Drew I’ve always wanted to see this place in more detail. And you have gone and done a video on it. Thank you good to see you again take care bro
I love watching your video.. it's a good documentaries. showing different places and culture of every country.
✨I’ve Never Heard Of YANJIN🧐It’s Such An AWESOME Place😅✨Thank You For Sharing✨🙏🏾🧚🏾✨💫
Yanjin is a special place and I kind of felt like I went back to my roots while telling this story. Back to 2017 when I first picked up a video camera.
It’s probably not the most “viral” video I could have made on my China trip, but that’s okay. It is certainly a story that I enjoyed telling, and this city has left a lasting impact on me. And I hope it will for you too!!
The nature, the society, the hospitality, the layout of the land – is all extremely unique and awesome! This is my 6th trip to mainland China, but my first time being away from the big cities on the East Coast. I’m wildly impressed by life out here. Thanks for watching and keep and eye out for the next 5 episodes in my China series!! 🇨🇳🙏
