Fatalities in rock blasting mishap in Ghana • FRANCE 24 English

At least three people have been tragically killed and over 40 injured in a stone blasting accident on a key road in Ghana, connecting the country to Togo and Ivory Coast. The incident occurred just outside of Accra as contractors were conducting stone blasting at the construction site.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident and to understand what went wrong. The loss of lives and the injuries sustained in this incident are deeply tragic and have left a community in mourning.
