Kim Jong Un Celebrates Return of Soldiers from Ukraine Conflict
In a remarkable display of military camaraderie, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un welcomed home soldiers who fought alongside Russian forces in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The ceremony, held in Pyongyang, was marked by Kim’s emphatic praise for the troops, whom he described as “heroic” for their contributions on the battlefield.
During the event, Kim addressed the audience with a tone of both pride and melancholy, acknowledging the sacrifices made by these soldiers. He specifically mentioned that nine members of their unit had paid the ultimate price in service to the Kremlin’s war efforts, underscoring the high stakes involved in the conflict that has drawn international condemnation.
The backdrop of this ceremony is steeped in complex geopolitical relations. In 2024, North Korea and Russia solidified their bond through a strategic partnership that promises military support in the event of an attack on either nation. This partnership marks a significant escalation in military collaboration, with South Korean intelligence estimating that Pyongyang has deployed up to 15,000 troops to assist in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The loss of thousands of North Korean soldiers in this conflict raises questions not only about the human costs involved but also about the motivations behind Kim’s steadfast support for Russia.
Experts, including Jenny Town, Director of the Stimson Center’s 38 North Program, have highlighted the broader implications of North Korea’s involvement in the conflict. The alliance signals a shift in military dynamics in the region and points to North Korea’s increasing willingness to engage in international conflicts.
As Kim Jong Un continues to rally his forces in this manner, the global community watches closely. The return of these soldiers not only reinforces North Korea’s military posture but also reflects the complexities of international alliances amid ongoing conflicts. As the war in Ukraine rages on, the implications of such partnerships will undoubtedly reverberate beyond the borders of these nations.

Is The same what happenings in Ukraine 😂😂😂
Korean canon fodder
Interesting thst they have put them in uniforms that sort of look like Ukrainian
I guess this is what they learned– how to better equip the solders. They learned a bit about drone warfare. That won't help them much because South Koreans learn directly from Ukrainians.
They were fighting in Russia, the Kursk region. Stop lying DW…you’re almost as bad as the BBC!
Det lyder sgu ikke godt 😮
This is absolutely great for the the military in North Korea to get battle ready using what will form the backbone of modern warfare . Good from that perspective, but it always comes at the cost of a human life. All nations will protect their interests and comparate with nations who see them as friends and not enemies. Unfortunately the European seems to believe everyone working with Russia is an enemy. I honestly wonder if they understand the double standards in such a approach and why nobody wants to listen to that anymore.
He justify because they are friends forever. North Korea and Russia is one for everything till to the end but the west is gnashing teeth. Bingo
And where are the leaders of freedom receiving the fighters of freedom and democracy?
Of course, North Korea was quite literally created by the Russians pretty much immediately after WWII. The Russians needlessly rushed into Korea to take as much as they could before agreeing to stop at the 38th, which was meant to be temporary to handle the surrender of Japanese there. Well, they promptly installed the grandfather, Kim II Sung. He had spent most of his life up till that time out of Korea, about eight years of education in China in Chinese, and then in Russia in the red army. He actually had to be taught advanced Korean by his Russian agent handlers. Of course, the Chinese CPC took over effective ownership of the Kim family and of North Korea in the 1950s. Not too much happens there without China's say so.
It`s more likely that just nice soldiers came back. The rest is either dead or fled.
Meanwhile, russian propagandist bots still deny north korean soldiers fought alongside the russians in Ukraine…
Que Deus abençoe sempre todos os homens desse Mundo Maravilhoso 🙏🇧🇷😀😍🥰🤩🥳 e sua família amém 🙏🇧🇷😀😍🥰🤩
Russians are so jealous Putin doesn't treat them like this when they return home lol

THANK HEAVEN FOR AMERICAN SOLDIERS = 2025**
It’s not a priest who gives us freedom of religion,
It’s not a reporter who give us freedom of voice.
It’s not any judge, lawyer, politician, preacher or teacher
But the blood of a soldier that has sacrificed by choice.
Our soldiers line up to be remembered
As the best of the best at their job.
They wish to be needed and depended on
To save all we love from the mob.
They risk their life and limb for liberty
Standing firm against evil unwilling to break.
To be part of something greater than themselves
They are willing to forgo whatever it will take.

I would Trade any European countrys not Poland or France ! For North Korea in term of war capabilitys ! Great allied too have. ! Dont Underestimate Them ! Only France Air Power is superior and vital ! Or I would exclude them out too, and Only Poland !
Europe’s weakness in war is not weapons, money, or population.
It is cohesion under stress.
Everything else you mentioned feeds into that.
⸻
The single core weakness
Europe no longer has a unified answer to the question:
“Who are we willing to suffer and die for?”
War exposes that instantly.
⸻
Break it down cleanly
1. Fragmented national identity (primary failure)
A state at war needs:
• A shared story
• A shared “us”
• A shared future worth pain
Europe replaced:
• Nation → values
• Duty → rights
• Belonging → administration
Values don’t bleed.
Bureaucracies don’t fight.
When missiles fall, people don’t rally to procedures.
⸻
2. Immigration is a force-multiplier of the identity gap
This is the uncomfortable part — but it’s strategic, not moral.
Immigration itself is not the problem.
Unintegrated mass immigration during peacetime decadence is.
Effects in war:
• Uneven loyalty
• Draft resistance
• Information leaks
• Internal unrest during mobilization
• Competing narratives (“not my war”)
A state can survive diversity only if it has a dominant core identity.
Europe doesn’t enforce one anymore.
⸻
3. Leadership without legitimacy
Modern European leaders:
• Manage, don’t lead
• Avoid moral clarity
• Fear voters more than enemies
• Speak in technocratic language during existential crises
In war, people want:
• Authority
• Direction
• Sacrifice modeled from the top
Instead they get press conferences and disclaimers.
That kills morale.
⸻
4. Left vs right is a distraction — the real divide is
Not ideology.
It’s:
Security cultures vs comfort cultures
Both left and right elites:
• Live insulated lives
• Are protected from consequences
• Outsource violence to others
The average citizen senses this hypocrisy instantly.
Result: Why should I suffer for them?
⸻
5. Delegated sovereignty
Europe outsourced:
• Nuclear deterrence → US
• Intelligence depth → US
• Strategic initiative → NATO
• Industrial war planning → nobody
That creates:
• Slow reaction
• Permission-seeking behavior
• Fear of escalation
Enemies exploit hesitation.
⸻
What Europe is still strong at (important)
• Technology
• Industry (if mobilized)
• Education
• Capital
• Some elite units
• Defensive terrain
Europe does not collapse militarily.
It fractures politically first.
That’s the real vulnerability.
⸻
One sentence summary
Europe can fight — but it no longer agrees why it should fight.
Until that question is answered clearly and honestly,
every other fix (more tanks, more money, more laws) is secondary.
Next time south korea should've invade the north since there busy in Ukraine.
I thought they never went? 😮
The 2 strongest army in the world Russia what a joke crying for help from North Korea even their own prisoner and now think they can fight NATO WTF Russia can't even beat a country with no navy no air force, Putin should be on Mr Bean next movie that will be very funny
poor nk
Criminal supporting criminal. 😅😅😅
they sent troops to learn, not support Russia. This will also prepare the public of north korean people for real great war, since they would already have a war and victory (sort of)u under their belt thanks to ukraine.
Russia – North Korea MDT?
