Such an interesting topic. I’ve always wondered why Kodak lagged behind in the industry
Funny enough some people still want to buy film, but now you have to sell them the developer and fixers and stabilizer solutions too
And a bag or black room with a red light.
Eckerds, Walmart, rite aid, CVS, and Walgreens don't have 1hr film lab no more
Just a computer kiosk you plug a USB, SD, or cf card in
With a high dpi laser or inkjet and expensive photography paper
wow
ONLY KODAK.
he who doesn't not develop doesn't not catch up with others
he who doesn't not develop doesn't not catch up with others
Alas all good things must come to an end, for those with foresight & less stubborn if it aint broke don’t fix it mentality doesnt work any more in today’s fast changing economic environment sad to say 🙁
What about KONICA, FUJIFILM, POLAROID ?
not just Kodak,I can also see Nokia in this story
Absolute the worst management in history. You know that Kodak INVENTED. YES INVENTED the bayer colour filter array used in all digital cameras.
Los de Kodak se juntan a recordar los viejos buenos tiempos con el directivo de Decca Records que le dijo a The Beatles que los grupos de guitarras estan condenados a desaparecer…
I don't think they believed digital would become so high quality so fast. Early digital cameras were dreadful compared to film, even SLRs. Kodak did sell digital cameras (not DSLRs though).
I worked for Kodak film processing and we all joked about the fall and we decided it would be when one of us bought a digital camera, then when someone at work bought one, we where closed in 4 months it was that fast..
Great lessons. Thank you!
