The town of Burnley in northern England is at the center of a fierce political battle as the UK general election approaches. After decades of being a Labour stronghold, Burnley shocked many by electing its first Conservative member of parliament in 2019.
Now, Labour is determined to reclaim the seat, but it won’t be an easy task. Al Jazeera’s Milena Veselinovic reports from Burnley, where both parties are campaigning hard to win over voters and secure their place in government.
