Since the start of Israeli air strikes last month, approximately one million people have been displaced across Lebanon. Prime Minister Makati has called for urgent aid to assist these displaced civilians and provide them with basic support.
The Israeli military has described their ground operation as “limited, localised and targeted”, but the escalating tensions in the region have raised concerns about the potential for further violence and instability.
This latest development underscores the longstanding conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, and the ongoing challenges faced by Lebanon as it navigates regional tensions and the displacement of its citizens.
