The usual old man wanting a young woman. Yuck.
Excellent acting & story!!
March was way too old for the role. He was all of 62. Also, people back then age horribly. He looked late 60s, so 56 was a major stretch
wonderful flick!
Gosh, this movie is so good. I love the realism and such good acting and parts (characters) all the way around. The umbrella scene with them returning home laughing in the snow, my oh my, Oh my, I was smiling and laughing all the while, how absolutely genuine and full of such happiness between two people so nice to see…I enjoyed this movie and actors so much. Thank you, for this movie.
It's like watching a play at the theater…thanks!
Ahh…the shmatte business . Back in 1971 I helped my dad in his store on 39tg street . Lou g siegel deli was right there . A pastrami and cabbage soup to melt ur heart . We wud carry goods on the rolling rack . Dodging taxis . Playing baseball in the warehouse using a flute and rolled up paper . Miss those days .
K8m Novak…in my childhood fantasies.
Too many adverts so I stopped watching 😢
I loved watching Kim in all her movies, however they always casted her in the same types of movies.
Woooooza! Great……amazing acting …Frederic March and Kim Novak!!!!
Who's watching the baby!? Minute 15 and forward
That was powerful. Didn't expect such great acting and drama. Very relatable, I've been there.
Striking beauty, even when she dresses down !
🎉😊🎉
👍
Love old movies. Thanks for posting ❤
Kim was always cast as a goddess who was totally uncomfortable, sad, out-of-place. Strange! And so convincing and touching.
Who the hell wants peace ?you can have all the peace after you r dead…
I l❤ve Kim so naturally great and vulnerable as is Fredric❤ great pairing.
Fredric March was a great actor. But Kim Novak—-not much talent. Her male co-stars consistently out-shown her. William Holden in Picnic, Jimmy Stewart in Vertigo, and Fredric March in this film. I think her best performance was in Picnic.
There are no longer men who care about women like this. I know first hand
Loved this movie
Reminded me of my days in the rag trade
The story was riveting….. I actually had to take a break before watching the end
It really got to me deeply
George flirts with her sister. 😮
Great film, sad fact that lonely older guys find young emotionally childish women easier to approach and control. Both get damaged and feel foolish. We all need love and a good pal!!! Don’t look for EASY.
In the real life, Fredric March was 62 years old and Kim Novak 26. Which makes it worse .. 😁😁
This was a role for the sultry Simone Signoret. I could imagine her in this part, that weary sadness in her eyes, told more than words.
Un film merveilleusement interprété ❣️ magnifique !!! All we need is love 🩵💙🧡💖💗❤️❤🫶
Much Love to all in the world from South of France
The dialogue is magical ❤❤❤ xox
