The militant group Hezbollah has carried out a targeted strike on the headquarters of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, marking their deepest confirmed incursion into Israeli territory. In response, Israel has successfully intercepted Hezbollah missiles aimed at Tel Aviv and expanded its airstrikes in southern Lebanon.
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Lebanon has escalated, resulting in hundreds of civilian casualties and the displacement of 90,000 people in southern Lebanon since Monday. The United Nations has condemned the Israeli bombardments, which have caused widespread destruction and loss of life.
Experts on the region, such as Randa Slim, Director of the Conflict Resolution Program at the Middle East Institute, journalist Karim El-Gawhary, and journalist Ronnie Chatah, provide insights into the complexities of the situation and the potential repercussions of the ongoing hostilities.
The tensions between Israel and Lebanon continue to escalate, with both sides taking aggressive actions against each other. The conflict remains a major concern for the international community, as the violence and displacement of civilians show no signs of abating.

People fail to understand that Lebanon’s military and government have been unable to stand up to Hezbollah for decades. Thanks to heavy funding from Iran since the 1980s, Hezbollah became stronger than any other group in Lebanon, including its own military. Essentially, Lebanon is a failed state – they fought a very long civil war against the likes of Hezbollah and after decades they had to arrange some kind of peace.
To underestimate Israel intellectual superiority …hmmm Big mistake.
Intelligent lady like her openness on the on going war leading to a large conflict…
Puts France in a unique situation. I mean they wouldnt stand back and allow israel to steal Lebanon and colonize the country would they?
I mean the Israelis are probably eyeing up lebanon with a failed government and no friends globally.. its a perfect time to colonize and take the country…
all they have to do is defeat Hezbhola.. if they defeat them.. they can take the whole lands…
but sure FRANCE even though they are allied with USA and ISrael.. wouldnt allow lebanon to be taken by israel….
