A rift has emerged within the ranks of President-elect Donald Trump’s advisers over the issue of skilled worker visas, specifically the H-1B visas for high-skilled foreign workers. Elon Musk, who is set to co-lead the new Department of Government Efficiency alongside Vivek Ramaswamy, has ignited controversy with his recent comments on the matter.
In a post on X, Musk expressed his belief that the United States is facing a shortage of super-talented and highly motivated engineers. This statement has sparked a firestorm among Trump’s loyalists, who have traditionally been opposed to the H-1B visa program, arguing that it takes away job opportunities from American workers.
The debate over skilled worker visas has become a focal point as Trump’s administration prepares to take office, with conflicting views on how best to address the issue. While Musk and Ramaswamy advocate for increasing the number of skilled foreign workers in the US, others within Trump’s inner circle are pushing for stricter immigration policies.
As tensions continue to rise, it remains to be seen how the incoming administration will navigate this contentious issue. The divide between those advocating for more skilled worker visas and those opposed to them highlights the challenges that lie ahead for Trump’s team as they work to implement their agenda.

Media is trying to create a divide. There is no rift legal immigrants or non immigrants are different from illegals putting them in same category is stupid.
Media is trying to divide the Trump campaign…legal and illegal immigrants are different.
According to the National Skills Coalition, nearly one-third of US workers lack basic digital skills:
No digital skills: 13% of workers have no digital skills
Limited digital skills: 18% of workers have very limited skills
Proficient digital skills: 35% of workers have achieved a baseline level of proficiency
Advanced digital skills: 33% of workers have advanced skills
We may see civil lawsuits over this blatant discrimination of the domestic workforce.
I find this to be so funny. Certain people are running around screaming about DEI and affirmative action and who's qualified and who's not. Hmmm, this is funny.
I hate to tell these Trump supporters the truth, but it is verifiable truth. Those people who voted for him, he doesn’t care about them. No offense, I don’t think Democrats have done right by Americans, but neither have Republicans but specifically looking at the record of Donald Trump he hasn’t really been wanting to support the middle class. You can look at policies and procedures when it comes to money specifically for the middle class and you see most of the money Donald Trump gave away in tax breaks or incentives. It didn’t go to the middle class. It went to the wealthy. There is a reason all of these wealthy people are surrounding Donald Trump. It’s because they got money and he likes money. Again, no disrespect to the candidate you voted for, but the guy does have a thing for money. Nothing wrong with it but when you look through his history well before he was president he really did want people to know I’ve got money look at me. Oh yes, and look at the woman I’m with she’s fabulous. Nothing wrong with being a list of celebrity. Nothing wrong with being among the richest and wealthiest people, but Donald Trump has wanted to be with that crowd and that crowd is who he’s going to cater to. Don’t get me wrong. You will get the usual spiel about immigration reform, but when these tech companies demand labor from overseas in the form of visas. He will find a way to give it to them because look at all that money they contribute to that inauguration. Understand that that is millions of dollars going towards That swamp you hated. I don’t care whether you’re democrat or republican understand that those inauguration dollars are going towards big corporations and politicians that have friends and family members working for the politician and the big corporation. We often talk about how Joe Biden had a son who got a cushy job because of who daddy was that’s not uncommon. It happened to everyone. Saudi Arabia had never considered giving $1 billion to Jared Kushner not that he can’t invest well. They just never thought about him. They had other prospects out there, but he is the son-in-law of a former president of the United States who did a lot of great things for Saudi Arabia and they happily gave Jared Kushner $1 billion to manage for them it was a drop in the bucket. It was a way to lobby as a Country. Make no mistake these politicians I don’t care if they are democrat or republican. Most of them are thinking about the money. They are not thinking about you. If you want proof of that, look up their income and then look up the stocks they own notice. It’s all in the companies that the government does business with. You will also noticed that they tend to purchase stocks right before we get in bed with these big companies with major contracts.
Talent but America losing out in Tech. So are they really "talent"?
The fact is the middle America average white/ black/mexican kid struggles to get into top university computer science programs which is dominated by East Indian and Asian students whose parents have taken them to math, spelling, robotics, coding competitions since they were 6 years old and those efforts yield results when it is time for college. Meanwhile your middle America brosphere parents focus totally on making their kid the next Michael Jordan, Buster Posey, or Peyton Manning and when they graduate high school they have very few job skills which apply to todays workforce in fact they are not even in the same league education wise and don't deserve these tech jobs which btw pay these HB1 visa students 150 to 250000 dollars a year not low wages at all. So my message to middle America dads and moms; stop wasting your time trying to drive all over the friggin place to make an NFL/MLB/NBA, quit whining and educate your kid and he will be successful and paid well when he graduates college or trade school with employable skills.
1) Deport all illegal immigrants. 2) Bring foreign H1B workers to replace americans in tech jobs. 3) Use Americans to fill low skill manual labor jobs that the illegals left. Everyone get your resume updated for picking grapes. Start doing some lower back exercises and get used to waking up at 4:30am. This is Trump's America!!

Trump thinks visas are credit cards.
Vivek Ramaswamy is way too dark!
No court order exists that requests the wholesale deportation of more than 11 million undocumented immigrants, making no distinction between asylum applicants and lawbreakers. It's a MAGA-cooked fairy tale. Tom Homan felt compelled to cite a non-existent "court order" precisely because it enables him to "soften" the Trump administration's fascistic approach to asylum-seeking. He also had the impression that by calling detention facilities "open air," he was somehow "humanizing" detention. 🤡
What the MAGA administration wants is a tightly regulated parasitism of immigrant labor that feeds American businesses and a ban on asylum-seeking, thereby breaking both international U.S. treaties and domestic law. Common sense intimates that hardworking migrants in the country already fill gaps in the workforce without "replacing American workers," as falsely stated within demagogue circles, while having established relationships with their adopted communities. The thoughtless demagogues' actions only speed up the U.S.'s road to a critically low fertility rate. 😏
They are smarter. They can do the work cheaper and faster. Maga won’t win the war with nerds.
How I wish India's leadership could be half as capable as Chinese leaders. We often brag about Indian-origin corporate leaders or politicians rising to high-profiled positions in the West. But American/British politics is a veritable clown show of hypocrisy, greed and jealousy. Hence it attracts Indian-origin players like Sunak, Vivek, Patel, Kamala etc. because it aligns very well with Indian temperament, and the best Indian talents are in their element relishing in this kind of farcical milieu in both the US, the UK – and Singapore too – adding to the rhetorical fist and fury, raising the roof and, generally, ACCOMPLISHING NOTHING. The ripple effect is a huge inflow of migrants from India – a more insidious erosion of the fundamental British character than the more conspicuous Muslim problem of the day.
MAGA weirdos just want DEI for whites but will never admit it
ARM UP AMERICANS

It makes sense that billionaires would focus on actions that benefit their companies, as it's in their best interest to reduce costs, including employee expenses. We shouldn't assume that they have America's interests at heart. While the H-1B visa program is meant to fill skill gaps in the U.S. workforce by allowing employers to hire qualified workers from abroad for specialized roles, do we actually have a shortage of skilled workers in the tech sector right now? I don’t think so.
If Americans are seen as "less skilled" in STEM compared to workers from countries like India and China, why isn't the focus on improving education and addressing the skills gap here at home? After all, we are the consumers who drive the profits that make these billionaires rich. If we continue to allow short-term gains for these companies, we risk losing our high-wage jobs to foreign workers. In the end, this isn’t about putting America first—it's about putting companies first.
We continue to pour our tax dollars into the military to protect other countries, while they use their resources to strengthen their social welfare systems, including education. Meanwhile, we're sacrificing our children's future to allow other nations to thrive in luxury, all while they criticize us for being uneducated, lacking universal healthcare, and having a weak social welfare system. Of course, this is happening—our tax dollars are being funneled into military spending. We, the citizens of the U.S., are being drained dry. How much longer will we allow ourselves to be treated like a doormat, with our taxes and consumer spending benefiting everyone else but us?
colonizers complaining about immigrants is lol
