Post Malone is marking a landmark date in his career by re-releasing his August 26th mixtape on streaming and vinyl for the first time. Newly remastered, the rapper’s first full-length album and major label debut, was originally issued on May 12, 2016 on Republic Records and featured collabs with 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty, Jaden Smith, Jeremih and others.
The 10-track tape that followed the MC’s breakout debut single, 2015’s “White Iverson,” featured a preview of what fans could expect from Austin over the next decade, including the stoney opener “Never Understand,” as well as the melodic jam “Money Made Me Do It,” woozy “Git Wit U” and the no-holds-barred come-on “F–k”; It was preceded by the self-released 2014 mixtape, Y.A.T.R.
The collection’s title originally referred to the planned release date for Posty’s debut solo album, Stoney, which was pushed back to December 2016 after several delays. The wait was worth it, though, as the LP featured a trio of A-list collaborators, including Justin Bieber (“Deja Vu”), Quavo (“Congratulations”) and Kehlani (“Feel”), as well as production by Metro Boomin, Mustard, Pharrell, and frequent collaborators Louis Bell and Frank Dukes.
Malone, 31, recently announced his engagement to on-and-off girlfriend Christy Lee. According to TMZ, Malone proposed to Lee on Tuesday in Utah, where friends also flew out to celebrate the occasion. The rapper, born Austin Richard Post, was first linked to Lee in early 2025, when they were spotted together during a dinner in Rome. Later that year they were spotted together in Paris, though the couple reportedly broke up in June 2025 and then were photographed together again in New York in February of this year.
