Retired BC Couple, Dog, Killed in Neighbour Dispute That Left Loved Ones Bewildered
In a tragic turn of events, Bruce and Roxanne Richards, a retired couple from Maple Ridge, British Columbia, were found dead in their home earlier this week, alongside their beloved dog. The shocking discovery has left their friends and family grappling with disbelief as they come to terms with the senseless violence that has unfolded.
Eyewitnesses reported a history of tension between the couple and a neighbor, believed to stem from a dispute over parking. Neighbors recounted instances of ongoing conflict, but no one could have anticipated the fatal outcome. Authorities have not yet identified a suspect in the case, but reports indicate that the individual believed to be responsible has died from a self-inflicted injury.
A longtime family friend spoke to the media, sharing memories of the couple and emphasizing their kind-hearted nature. "They were lovely people who cherished sharing their adventures through photographs," the friend stated, reflecting on their vibrant spirit and community involvement. Their sudden loss has left a void in the lives of those who knew them, with friends expressing shock at the brutality of the situation.
As the community mourns, the details surrounding this tragic event continue to emerge, prompting larger questions about the impact of neighborly disputes and unresolved tensions. The rich tapestry of Bruce and Roxanne’s lives, now overshadowed by violence, serves as a painful reminder of the fragility of peace and the importance of community connections.

Canada is ruined.
This will be on an episode of the show Fear Thy Neighbor!
Why isn't the third person identified?????????
Someone below said no 'diversity' was involved….HOW UNUSUAL…THESE DAYS.
That suspect has some next level anger issues
If you really don’t like your neighbour, just sell & move… Yes costs money, but your home should be your sanctuary, not a stress point…
There is always someone willing to throw everything away for something so little. RIP to this couple.
Things like this didn't use to happen in Canada..
Police ignored red flags
Prob some foreign neighbor
Who wants neighbors!? This one went postal.
Canada is not the country I recognize,
I used to work with the municipality. The situations and disputes that I saw between neighbors, has left me horrified, and I have completely refused to buy a property because of that. At last, if I am renting, and I am not happy, I can just move.
Rich couple with short temper
There was a case were a neighbor killed another neighbor over a tree. People out here are really losing thier minds over trivial nonsense.
Rest in peace Bruce and Roxanne 😢🙏🏼
Sickening 😢 no dispute is worth 💀 someone over
Doubt this was ovr parking. The dog was killed. The little yappy kind they showed. Y else kill the dog too?
Vancouver must be very depressing place, even during summer there's no Sun
I have absolutely no idea what happened from this report!! 😡
People are crazy. That’s why I don’t talk to anyone outside of work
It takes two to tango. There is no such thing as perfect people
People are WAY out of control….lord help us all.
I used to live in Maple Ridge, nice town, good people
If they were so nice it wouldnt of escalated to this point
Best police 😢 create best results.. bc police never work .. laziness at its peak .. why after work all day ? Why not before when they get call? What a shame
We had a neighbour that just hated us. Then made a big deal about our parking as we rented and theres multiple vehicles in our house. And just gave us grief the whole time. Watching us, provoking. Then would park all their visitors in front of our house. Up until we left they were the worst neighbours we had
boomers gone wild !!
👋
At 2:58 she said the investigators are wearing hazmat suits. What's the deal with the hazmat suits?
