Thanks for sharing an emotional time for you and your family. Silly, but in a way we will miss it also after following you for so long.
No need to justify yourself Claire, we totally get you! So sad the villa has been sold but it sounds like you've all had many happy years there and can treasure all those memories. Thank you for sharing with us ❤ ps I cried 😅😢😢 xxx
An end of an era Claire. I have loved your villa vlogs and for you so many memories have been made. I understand the costs of owning a villa in Florida can be high due to having to replace the roof etc and insurances. 21 years is a long time but time now to travel to other places. I'm sure you will still visit Florida in the future x
I felt so emotional watching this Claire, such happy memories for you and your family.Your Dad put such a lot of work into the villa to make it a lovely family home so it’s sad but it will be nice for your mum and dad to explore other places
Thank you for sharing… on to making more memories in new places…❤
Ive liked this video but it actually broke my heart!! I feel so sad 😢❤ saying good bye to memories is sooo hard ❤have loved watching your memories there over the years 🥺
Thank you for sharing, such a nice way to remember it. I teared up watching it so you all must be so emotional ❤️
Actually would be devastated if my parents sold it and didn’t give me it 😂
I can imagine how difficult that vlog was to film and how hard it has been to close the door on that chapter of your life. However, this is a new and exciting beginning! It’s also funny how things come full circle – I spent my childhood staying in my parents’ static caravan in the place where I now live. It was sad when they gave up our caravan, but it was the right decision for us all and allowed us to try different holidays. I left a piece of my heart there though and now, I’m back. You never know what will happen for you in the future! For now, this is an exciting opportunity for you to try different holidays and different accommodation in Florida. It’s sad, but you’ll always have those wonderful memories to cherish. I can also really see that it’s the right decision for your dad and how relaxed he seems, like a weight has been lifted off. Whilst owning out there must be fantastic and such a privilege, I can also imagine how much of a worry it must be. Thanks for sharing this milestone with us ❤
Your dad is so cute lol. He sounds like Wallace from Wallace & Gromit!!!
We've stayed in Kissimmee and it's a lovely area, perfectly situated! A sad end of an era, but onto new things ❤️
Sending you a huge hug Claire – blubbing here too, what a special house with so many wonderful memories to cherish forever.
You’ll just have to become a DVC member now to cheer yourself up !! 😉😉😘
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! You shouldn’t feel guilty or worry about sharing your memories with us. We get emotional leaving our hotel room after a great holiday, so can’t imagine what it’s like after so many years! Both my wife and I had watery eyes at the end! A great way to remember the villa and you should be so proud of the way you have documented the end of your time there.
Really interesting vlog Claire! It must be sad but what lovely memories you've had in the villa! Love when your dad features in the vlogs too, wishing your parents (and you!) lots of lovely new adventures!
I felt so sad for you watching this, but feel it’s probably the right time to do it. It’s complicated selling a home but to do it in a different country & getting it emptied makes it more difficult. We first went to Kissimmee in 1980 and there wasn’t much there at all. Nowhere to eat at night! No Epcot etc just Magic Kingdom.
What a lovely home for the new owners to move into it’s no wonder it sold so quickly.
You are entitled to feel however you need to feel. You will always have the memories long after this villa has sold. Virtual hugs to you and the family.
Oh Claire! End of an era! Amazing memories, but like your brother said, now a new family can make amazing memories there too 🫶
Such a stunning villa, thanks for sharing this information, least you have captured the memories in your videos ❤
Will you visit WDW less? Do you see yourself renting villas or staying at Disney hotels more?
Oh Claire I can’t imagine how you feel, what amazing memories you have there to treasure forever! Also your dad is so so sweet, I hope your parents enjoy the rest of their travels!
The villa we used to rent a lot at sunset lakes is up for sale and its truly made me sad, it isn't ours, of course, but so many memories and the familiarity when we went was wonderful. I actually felt like part of so many memories is just gone (sorry if that sounds silly lol)
Funny it had the very same white wicker furniture in the bedroom which i think is beautiful.
Hope it isn't sad for to long for you. It is always sad when such a big part of your life ends.
Your Dad seems so so lovely
Wishing You , Your Mom & Dad The Absolute Best For The Future Claire Much Love From The Lakes ⭐
Aw Clare you were so brave I’d have not been able to hold it together to film. Not sure I’d have been friends with my dad either 😂 it is my absolute dream to one day be able to do the same. How lucky you were to call it home. May you have many more adventures to come with your lovely family xxx
Good luck to you all and how lovely to have had the place.
Love the sound of spending the proceeds on some different travel , and it does of course leave something left over for DVC 😜 (Just don’t buy Riviera or another of the dodgy resale ones! Poly has a lot going for it right now. Check how many points a 3bed would be 😉)
Looking forward to seeing the new adventures 🙂
Oh sweetie!!!! I get the sadness. Heck I got a wee bit teary eyed at the end here as I have been watching since your cast member days. Thank you for sharing so many memories with us over the years in the villa. I can not wait to see all of your new adventures ❤
Aww so sad! But it is a big responsibility – and like you said, you can have holidays other places now! And you have all your lovely memories too x
I think making a video is a great idea. I wish I had the same things for homes I used to live in.
Selling makes sense, however. I found the listing and paying those property taxes and maintenance each year almost forces you to use it a few weeks a year to get the value out of it. If you want to go to Disney for a week it’s cheaper to stay on property in a luxury resort, I bet.
Ah I ended up getting a bit teary eyed there at the end! It must be so emotional for you. I hope you’ll still be able to enjoy lots of Disney trips but your parents can also explore more of the world with a bit more freedom xx
It’s the end of such an era! It’s sad that you can’t go anymore but what a wonderful place to make so many memories! I can’t believe we’ve had the last “hey guys, welcome to AClaireyTale” on the front porch 😭 thank you for sharing with us all and here’s to making new memories with the family 🥂
My heart breaks for you. I know how much the place means to your family and you.
Claire
Best wishes on this new chapter in the lives of you and your family. Life is all about change and how we deal with change.
With the love your family has for each other, the road ahead will be full of happy adventures for all of you❤
I totally didn't think that at all and had no idea. But I bet it's getting harder to maintain and travel to Florida but so sad for you and your parents but I'm sure you'll be back to visit Disney and maybe one day you and Simon can buy a house near Disney so you can visit a couple times a year. So, thank you for coming on to this vlog and letting us know. Best to your parents and you and Simon. Take care!!! 😃
This was very nostalgic for me. My parents had a condo for years in another part of Florida. They even had the same wall hanging you had on your porch 🙂 What stuck out to me from your vlog is that these places do bring families together. You spend more quality time together in a happy, stress free environment. Seeing you and your dad by the pool with your glasses of wine was priceless. On to new adventures for your parents!
I'm so sorry for you and totally understand the sadness. You've never come across as entitled. Your gratefulness has always shown through. On to making new and different memories. ❤
Your family was truly blessed to have an amazing place to call home while in the U.S. and the family who bought it will have many wonderful memories just like your family did.
Hi Claire! I totally get the emotions. When my parents sold their home, you couldn't help the flood of memories coming back. It is so nice that all of you enjoyed it for many years. Doesn't mean you won't be back to Florida, it will just be a new adventure! Love the closeness that you have with your mom, dad and brother!May your mom & dad enjoy themselves and make new memories! Very happy for all of you!❤
No reason to apologize for your emotions.
so sad the villa looks awsome so many memories love the shirt
I always assumed you rented it out because it looks like you have a big padlock on your wardrobe Claire so I thought you locked up your things while it was rented. First world problems are still problems, our family used to have a beautiful big home in celebration and it was sold about ten years ago and we still miss it!
😭😭
Ah I’m so sad for you, but also happy you got to make all those wonderful memories. Thank you and your family for sharing with us ❤
Awwwwww sad times but also the best of times spent in a lovely place. I look forward to seeming Disney vlogs from maybe on or off site? Hope it’s not the end of Disney vlogs ❤❤
I have seven vlogs that I was going to catch up on after the test match today. it was the title that drew me to this one out of sequence of your series and what a shock. I could feel the sadness in your voice throughout, though your dad, although happy to reminisce with you he seemed to be happy that it’s finally gone. No more worrying about how it survived a hurricane.
It was nice to finally see the front of the property and I agree the porch is a good selling point as it stood out from the rest of the street. Nice to see from old photos how much work has been done to by your dad to improve and upkeep the property. The new owners certainly have a well kept and loved property and it didn’t surprise me that it sold so quickly. Not doubt you’ll drive past on future visits to have a look.
Nice to hear you still plan to return to your favourite place, hopefully we’ll be shown around a hired villa at that time. I’ll catch up on the rest of the series now.
Finally, can I ask which estate in Kissimmee it was located?
I’m crying at the chat with your dad, end of an era (start of hormones 😆😆) xx
Bless you Claire, I wanted to reach through the screen and give you a big hug!
So hard to say goodbye to places that hold special memories. We all have places we remember growing up, whether that’s favourite restaurants or hotels or holidays haunts or indeed, homes. When they finally go it’s always hard.
But as one chapter closes, another one opens! Sounds like your parents have lots of plans and of course you’ll be back to Orlando in no time ❤✨
