The 1975’s Matty Healy & Gabbriette Bechtel Marry at Madonna’s Former L.A. Estate

Congratulations are in order for Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel, who are officially married.

The 1975 frontman, 37, and the model-musician, 28, tied the knot on Saturday (July 18) during an intimate outdoor ceremony at Castillo del Lago in Los Angeles, the former home of Madonna, according to People.

The private celebration took place at the Spanish Colonial Revival estate in the Hollywood Hills and was attended by family and close friends.

The star-studded guest list reportedly included Charli xcx and her husband, George Daniel — The 1975’s drummer — along with Anastasia Karanikolaou, Fai Khadra, Alex Consani, Devon Lee Carlson and her fiancé, Duke Nicholson, Sydney Lynn Carlson, Tyrell Hampton, Alex O’Connor and Quenlin Blackwell, according to Page Six.

One day before the wedding, Healy and Bechtel were photographed rehearsing the ceremony in L.A. The couple, dressed in matching black outfits, was seen practicing a romantic dip kiss ahead of the big day.

Earlier in the week, Healy celebrated with a Matty Healy-themed bachelor party featuring live entertainment from The 1975 tribute band 9075. He even joined the group onstage, performing “The Sound” alongside a faux Healy before crowd-surfing during “Sex.”

Healy and Bechtel began dating in September 2023. News of their engagement broke in June 2024 after Bechtel shared a photo of a black gemstone ring on her left hand. “MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT,” she captioned the image, referencing Charli xcx, who was then engaged to The 1975’s Daniel.

Before his relationship with Bechtel, Healy’s most high-profile romance was with Taylor Swift. The pop superstar recently made headlines for her own star-studded wedding to Travis Kelce at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Healy was later linked to model Meredith Mickelson, while Bechtel previously dated model Levi Dylan, the grandson of Bob Dylan.
