The problem IMO with a lot of movies these days is that "experienced adult" actors appear to be too young. Idk if they are actually young, but they LOOK young. The dad/homeowner here just looks way too young. Especially in this climate where it takes forever to get into an expensive house. And then he runs into whoever that guy is, the dark suspicious man out in the woods, who knows about "that house", okay this guy also looks too young. He's supposed to have "been around and knows things" but yeah he's just too young for that. My 2 cents, you can't just throw anyone into the role and make it work. That's why casting exists.
