“Des hommes qui veillent” offers an intimate look into the daily lives of the convoy technicians at Services Funéraires – Ville de Paris.
Responsible for the transport and disposal of the city’s corpses, these men work tirelessly, often under intense and somber conditions.
Behind the scenes, in a dimly lit, outdated depot, they gather before and after each mission, finding moments of respite in this shared, underground space.
The documentary uncovers their often unseen but essential roles, revealing the emotional and psychological toll of their work in an unflinching, raw portrayal of life in the shadows of Paris.

I hear the sound of a body bag.
Talking about different succulent varieties and one of the guy says somethn like, ‘that one is beautiful’ and the other dude says, “thats a cabbage”.idk I found it hilarious
Anyway, as a non-ghetto “regular”, I find anyone who does this kind of work for a living (for any amount of time) respectable.
I am very surprised they dont use proper PPE (at least fully suited in a disposable suit + taped up + respirator). Must have a huge risk of all kinds of diseases, not just scabies.
Much respect to these lads, its a tough job for not much pay.
This movie,or documentary 🙄🙄
Tres bien
Niveau empathie et intellectuel: pas tres élèvés
un documentaire d'energie 100% strip tease-esque!
Gosh a little more PPE would be required where I am 😬
It's a good documentary on a sensitive topic.
Respect Messieurs ❤
Respect ✊🏻. This is a job I could not do .
Boring…
Boring. But now I understand why the World disregards the French.
