4,000-Mile Update: 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander
In this latest video, we delve into the 4,000-mile journey of our long-term 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander. Equipped with the optional SEL Premium Package, this SUV has truly impressed us with its high-quality interior materials and an assortment of added amenities that elevate the driving experience.
While our previous Outlander was a plug-in hybrid, this model is powered solely by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 181 horsepower. Thanks to its Super All-Wheel Control system, the Outlander offers robust performance, despite the occasional clunkiness associated with the continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Although the refresh didn’t introduce any power gains, we believe the Outlander maintains a balanced driving experience. Notably, the revamped suspension has made a significant difference, providing a more composed ride without sacrificing comfort.
After 4,000 miles, we’ve achieved an average fuel economy of 26.9 mpg on regular gas, slightly surpassing the EPA’s combined rating of 26 mpg.
Join us as we share our insights and experiences with this versatile SUV. Be sure to check out more from our long-term fleet on the MotorWeek website and stay connected through our social media channels!
