A tragic incident occurred in Edinburgh on Halloween night, as a 74-year-old man lost his life in a horrific bus crash on Cowgate. The man, whose identity has not been released, suffered catastrophic injuries and tragically had his severed head found at the scene.
The accident took place as Halloween revellers were out enjoying the festivities nearby, adding even more shock and horror to the already gruesome scene. Roads in the area were closed to allow police to conduct their investigations, but have since been re-opened.
Sergeant Louise Birrell from the Road Policing Unit in Edinburgh expressed condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, stating that extensive inquiries are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
