As Los Angeles faces its most devastating wildfires in history, the city has been left reeling from the destruction caused by the raging flames. Tens of thousands of buildings have been reduced to ashes, and hundreds of thousands of residents have been forced to evacuate their homes in the face of the relentless blazes.
The largest fire, which has engulfed more than 23,000 acres in the Pacific Palisades area, is now the worst fire on record for the city of Los Angeles. To put this into perspective, the affected area is comparable to the size of large parts of lower Manhattan and Queens in New York.
In a BBC News special report, we hear firsthand accounts from those on the front lines of the wildfires, as well as from the residents who have lost everything to the disaster. The emotional toll of losing homes, livelihoods, and cherished possessions is immeasurable, as families grapple with the aftermath of the wildfires.
As the city begins the long path to recovery, the focus is now on assessing the damage, rebuilding the destroyed communities, and providing support to those who have been affected. The road to recovery will be a challenging one, but with the resilience and strength of the people of Los Angeles, the city will undoubtedly rise from the ashes.

Here in Australia we try to conserve water as much as possible. Taps and shower heads have to meet standards with regards to water flow. Toilets have a much lower water level in the bowl than US toilets and they also have two buttons which determine how much water is used to flush the toilet.
Feeling for the victims, condolences from Pakistan ❤
Why it happened he asked..I'll tell you why it happened, your mocking god on world stage at the Oscars,,,,,nobody mocks god
you can blame it all on Trump. He wanted to burn Gaza… Allah send the fire to him.
I instantly get a flashback from when my place burnt down about 10 years ago. I feel for these people whether they have money or not is not a point. They they are fellow humans that have feelings. Some have lost more than others. So sad
Well, we know for a fact. Who did predict this disaster. The insurance companies. As many canceled all insurance last July.
You are still lucky because only houses were destroyed, in Gaza thousands of lives and homes were lost.

Neo dedicates this song to the victims of the most devastating wildfire in LA's history.

May you find strength to endure these challenging times and discover new light at the end of this journey.
This song, Winter's Turning Point, was written and composed entirely by Neo.
It was inspired by the experience of facing winter's chill and loneliness, only to realize that winter is just the beginning of growth and renewed hope in spring.

The cause is Sin when you go against God non stop the hand of God lifts and let's the devil in..We are in End times. Climate change is also caused by sin. So it's time for everyone to seek Jesus Christ The Truth The Way and The Life 🙏
Your local homeless encampment brought to you by Wall Street.
Now everyone homeless.
Feel about Gaza😂
Gaza has a lot of water in its soil. Are the tears of the children of Gaza not enough to extinguish this fire? Today or tomorrow the Americans will realize what they have done in Gaza and Palestine. Many of the world's superpowers are now just signs of falling.
California is the WORLD's 5th largest economy…and to see this level of mismanagement. There is no excuse for an insufficient water supply for fire fighting efforts nor a lack of skilled, able bodies. California has a long history of seasonal fires. This should not be happening.
Unbelievable.
What a shame the BBC isn’t how it used to be pre-2000 when there were actual investigative journalists instead of these low IQ admin assistants that they have now.
