Fun fact: Mainland China had no high-speed rail before 2008 (the year they hosted the Summer Olympics), in 2025 they have about 45,000 km of HSR. Japan's Shinkansen, their well-known high speed rail system was the world's first HSR that opened in 1964 in time for their Summer Olympics, however Japan's system today has less than 3,000 km of trackage. In the United States there are two "almost" HSR systems, Amtrak's Acela between Washington, D.C, traveling through New York City to Boston and Brightline between Miami and Orlando, which is very watered-down HSR (less than 200 km/h, diesel, mostly at-grade). The only true world-standard high-speed rail in the United States is being built in California planned to link San Francisco to Los Angeles but the first phase will only be between Merced and Bakersfield in the next decade; California's HSR project got started after passage of a bond measure in November 2008 with groundbreaking on 6 January 2015.
Hi action kid amazing premiere take care and God bless
Great video!!!! What a wonderful son to take his mom with him. She's awesome for walking the great wall of china with you!!!! What a great duo. Actionkid and action mom!!!!
Hello Ken. This is a fantastic video and to have your mom with you she seems so nice. So now we know both of your parents they are awesome. China is so organized and clean.
This is an informative video showing the taxi ride to the train station and the red cap service was well worth it and efficient. 👍 The high speed train is modern and efficient, and the bonus is you get to see great scenery. I'm glad you had this first high speed rail experience along with your mom, and thank you for sharing, AK! 🤗🚅
Do they not have lifts down to the platforms? Hope wheelchair users aren't wheeled down that ramp used for the luggage carts!
Those red t-shirt guys are very fit, the one who guided you really ran up those stairs!
Surprisingly narrow seats in second class. I've checked, first class appears to be the mid tier and business the top tier, with 2+2 and 2+1 seat layouts respectively.
I'm exhausted already 😂. I'm like your mom, I have to know where my bags are.
The premium service is totally worth it, especially when you have so many luggages.
Thanks for your in-depth videos. I feel that I'm experiencing the travel lifestyle without leaving my home! Keep it up!
What a special journey, Ken, traveling from Beijing to Xi’an on the high-speed rail must have been incredible.
Xi’an, once the start of the ancient Silk Road and home to the Terracotta Army, holds such deep history.
It was truly heartwarming to see your mother by your side she looked very happy
Thank you both for sharing this experience with us — moments like these make your videos so personal and unforgettable.
Nice traveling with your mom, AK. That train in China is the fastest in the world. It reminds me of Amtrak. I hope you get back to America soon.
Wishesthe US cared about their rail network more China has a better high speed rail network and Europe too
Hope you can go to Chongqing before you leave, that was my favorite Chinese city when we were in China
That's a legendary fast high speed train ActionKid, High Speed Rail!🤩😍 Which is the fastest train in China as you're riding it to Xi'an from Beijing!😄 All thanks to you AK for sharing that high speed train ride!😌🤗🥹😇

This is nothing, you need to try out Business Class 👍👍😊
It's so nice to take your mom with you, what a great experience and that train is amazing I hope we get that in Houston Texas, we're supposed to have a line from Houston to Dallas but they keep fussing and fighting about it in politics
I thought y’all were getting scammed at first but that was def worth 20$!! 😂
Great video love seeing your Mom she looks great
