The most astonishing moments include the Red-Eyed Tree Frog tadpoles choosing to hatch early to escape a wasp, the highly coordinated team hunt by the chimpanzees for the Colobus monkey, and the shocking aggression a mother hippo faces from her previous calf when introducing the new baby. Non-stop drama! 😮
The way BBC Earth captures these wild encounters is just incredible. Every frame feels alive — it’s not just about fighting, it’s about survival, instinct, and nature’s raw beauty.

True heroes of the wild — capturing moments most of us will never witness firsthand. Utterly breathtaking. 👏🐾
People always cheer for the underdog, but nature doesn’t care only survival matters.
🔴 LIVE: Greatest Fights In The Animal Kingdom: Part 7 | BBC Earth 1902pm 10/10/25 i think a lot of folk would turn veggie for just weighing up the journey of the salmon – from fry to adulthood…. and the miles covered to enact a mating ritual which culminates in their own demise… a fantastic piece of evolution however, seemingly, pointless.
David Attenboroughs predictive, narration about the Chimpanzee ambush is on point. Arent we all so lucky to know this wonderful human being in real time.
I have to say that frogs are among my favorites.
These wild encounters are incredible
Frog not the only one to leap. Leap•crab may be minted. As for landing, it has an upper hand. Elegance. Sally "lightfoot" crab. Charming, isn't it?

What an incredible showcase of nature’s raw beauty and brutality. Watching the Sally Lightfoot crabs risk everything just to reach a meal was honestly emotional. It’s such a powerful reminder of how much every species fights just to survive, often in ways we never see or think about. The ant colony defending their home was also deeply moving—seeing tiny creatures sacrifice themselves for the good of the colony really struck a chord with me. And then that female lobster’s long trek across the ocean floor… she’s a total warrior. I’m so grateful to the filmmakers who capture these stories—it makes me appreciate the world around us so much more. Anyone else feel like nature documentaries should be required watching in schools?
