Sonny being from Minnesota is probably not very familiar with our neighbors down south. There are plenty of us Latino people that eat beans for breakfast is actually very common. Even to the point of a derogatory slang Word Mexicans is "beaner" but we now use it as a term of endearment. Beans for breakfast lunch and dimner.
I also noticed that while I lived in Europe for a while was that the eggs there are very dense and the yolks are very orange like fresh country eggs.
