Why are they acting like they've just won a war or something 🙄
nah sorry – if you work in theatre or do theatre even as a hobby you know how deep the connection is! Not only to what you do, but the people around you that you do it with. You work so closely with the same people day in and out, going through really good, productive days that you can be proud of, to the worst days where everything you've worked on feels like it's all going to fall apart – and you all go through it together. You back those people up, trust them when things go wrong – the collective pride amongst you all when you've delivered something that the audience loves as much as you do is enough to bond people for life. I'm still life long friends with my old Am Dram friends from when I was 15/16 – Ari and Cynthia are theatre kids to the core, so they get it. This film has been so highly anticipated for so long, and by all accounts it's going to be one of the highest grossing films we've seen in a long time, some sources even claiming it will even surpass BARBIE!
They're proud of what they're achieved – so many of us long term wicked devotees never thought this would come to fruition, but here we are.
I'll be sobbing in my seat on November 22nd – and thats ok.
Let people have their joy! Let people feel how they GENUINELY feel without being mocked/criticised for it!
