Thank god for the Suffragettes, absolute legends, idols!
Not sure how they can say look at those georgous colors. Whoever colorized thus was working from black and white? They could put in any color they fancied? Or am I wrong? Just caught my attention because dye was not inexpensive.
Look at all the immigrants that built Britain amazing
Always got to inset yourself in our history 🙄 4:56
These people in the video would cry if they saw what has happened to our country 😢
All these old films of the Edwardian period show happy smiling people in the streets which is contrary to the misery socialist writers would have you believe of that period.
Good films but quit with sneaking your hijab narrative in! They are headscarves and no, they weren’t frowned on for not wearing it! You have ruined this otherwise great doc.🏴🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧🏴
Amazing film of British history. Love it 🇬🇧🏴
Absolutely loved this documentary I’m from Blackburn that was a great old still photo of Blackburn showing on this documentary my gran worked in the cotton mills in the early 1900s my grandad was born on a canal boat and worked on the boats in the early 1900s my Nan and grandad got married in 1915 just before he went to fight in the 1stww awesome family history
".. Britain was the richest country in the world". Now we all know how 😆 don't we
This is a bit more than just 100 years ago. So much has changed. Change is the ONLY constant in all of our lives. We must embrace our differences and get on with our lives. If we don't… there will be no more history.
First rate documentary, this. — Greetings to the People of Britain from Greece. 🇬🇧🌿🇬🇷
For me, the message is,”Don’t trust the system … it will use you as canon fodder send you off to your early death.” So the ones that were tarred and feathered as being cowards, etc, were, in reality, correct at the end of the day.
WW1 was allowed to happen because of the authorities fear of socialism
My sort of people bless em
I thought diversity built Britain?
Edwardain Era 1901-1910.
King Edward the VII.
I lost patience in watching this, with the constant interruptions by commentators who are supposedly qualified to pass comment.
About 50% of the time is spent on them appearing on screen.
Also too much time is spent on re-running the same pieces of film.
I've watched much better compilations with no commentary, just accompanied by some appropriate music.
And in colour as well.
This should of been way shorter. Too much of the same photo stills and similar comments with repetitive narratives made this go from a rare visual experience to boring and drawn out.
Whats this silly woman talking about women covering their hair and compairing it to the hijab?
They are coving it to try keep it clean.
Dilusional.🙄
Lest we forget…
no aggressive Muslims on the streets….
13:12 that man has a homemade back brace to save his back, smart. Now it’s body builders using them for vanity lol
I am glad to see the horses look well cared for.
For unkilled workers, history appears to be repeatng itself.
What a disingenuous thing to say about headscarves being hijabs. Headscarves were to keep hair clean not to stop men raping you.
Yes true they wanted to represent people of the Empire but not the 1948 citizens act of 1948 signed which 10 years later got them to move and live next door to them or there kids kids so even in 48 there was no cheap travel N again documents signed by the Useless English leaders
Again with the multicultural agenda the English women have there heads cover for the cold in the fashion of the Time so the Edwardian times also known as the naughty naughty so the woman we're going back to the Napoleon era and doing a update of the neo Greek look now the suppression of victoriana was Dead so the woman were having fun not being surprised like Islam and when hot out side would take the scarf of the head N would not be worn inside no hats inside in Europe for men and women so do be on the Right 👍▶️ Right side of History 😮
The labour MP asked what happened to them and there children well most Die DEAD those did breed die DEAD in WW2 and the few that got through did not breed because it was to expensive never mind our new leads thanks to the 48; Empire citizens act race replaced us so that what happened
Helen Antobuse talking about period women and their clothes. She wore an evening dress to mid afternoon interview. Worse she has no idea how to sit in gowns. Very surprising from a British woman
Very interesting footage, I'm sure similar living conditions, fighting for workers & women's rights, the zeitgeist were going on in the NL. Makes you think, on how good we have it today. Greets from the Netherlands! 🇳🇱
Ce popor extraordinar! Toată admiratia mea pentru poporul britanic și cultura lor!❤
I notice that many of the children and younger people have a lot of puffiness under their eyes. Would that be indicative of any illnesses or condition?
@4:50 why would British people imitate black people to show how black people are part of thier society? Because they weren't.
There aren't any black people in any of this video.
Wow nice 🎉❤😊
Michel and Kenyan filmed all of that. I think the film was found in a Cellar in Wigan Lancashire recently, if I remember rightly. They travelled up and down the country and charged people a small fee to be seen in their films.
