DAY 1 in New York City: Exploring the Big Apple
Join me as I kick off my exciting new series, AClaireyTale in New York! In this first vlog, we dive into the bustling streets of NYC, highlighting iconic landmarks and unforgettable experiences throughout our week-long adventure.
Our journey begins as we land at JFK Airport and head to our home base at the Hyatt House Chelsea. After dropping off our bags, we set out to explore the vibrant heart of the city. Our first stop is Times Square, where the dazzling lights and bustling crowds welcome us to New York. We stroll past the renowned Macy’s and pop into a souvenir shop, capturing those must-have NYC mementos.
Lunch at Ellen’s Stardust Diner offers an unforgettable dining experience, blending delicious food with live musical performances from talented waitstaff. After lunch, we soak in the ambiance of Carnegie Hall and the elegance of the Plaza Hotel before indulging in some retail therapy on 5th Avenue. I even manage to snag the latest iPhone!
As we continue our adventure, we explore the famous Rockefeller Center, marveling at the stunning holiday decorations and iconic ice skating rink. A quick stop at Krispy Kreme in Times Square allows us to try New York’s famous Big Apple donut before popping into the Disney Store for some whimsical fun.
Back at the Hyatt, I give you a look inside our hotel room, complete with a spectacular view. But the day isn’t over yet! We rush to the Empire State Building for breathtaking panoramic views of the city as the sun sets, making for a truly magical experience.
After soaking in the skyline from the top, we head to Joe’s Pizza to unwind and refuel. I wrap up the day with a shopping haul, showcasing all my NYC finds.
This first day in New York City has been nothing short of spectacular, and I can’t wait to share more adventures with you throughout the week!
