Only in New York. And LA. I've actually done something similar in LA. Wild cities haha
It’s illegal to run a restaurant out of a residential residence in NYC. Aren’t you jeopardizing these people by featuring them? Their landlords can legally evict them if they’re renters.
Chef Luna had started
The Table around 2000. It was in his house. 10 people minimum $50 each for just food $75 for food and wine. and were allowed to walk around open the fridge whatever you wanted to do within reason of course. He owned a string of restaurants and just got tired of the industry itself, but not the love he had for cooking.
Indonesian food is so good
You went into the projects!!!
Turkey isn’t dry unless you can’t cook turkey lol and I wouldn’t call that soul food, come to the south and you’ll see. Plus we’re blue now 🫡
Soul food looked delicious. Last place looked awesome with everyone. The pizza place looked good to but seeing the cat in the living room just chilling kinda might make me think cat hair all over the place 😅
hard pass
Great video Jon! We need a part 2 now. All of that food looked delicious. 😋
What a fun video and all of the food looked delicious! James is a cat guy, now I know why I like him so much! Chandra (sp?) has such a good attitude for someone who has endured so much!
Definitely all … they look and taste good!
I’m ready to make my reservations!
What about prices?
The golden Cat $175 and the others??
Wow Chef Shandra story is amazing!!
Wow. I didn't know these places existed. I also don't know how they can get away with having places like this as I don't think it is legal to run a restaurant from an apartment.
The Indian meal seemed especially special and worth it. A cultural experience as well as a beautiful meal.
"jersey style" pizza in Brooklyn is just disrespectful
More of friends of friends/meet & greets rather than restaurants. Perfectly legal.
3:40 it's a PS5, not an Xbox!
watching from 🇨🇦. I've never been to NYC. so far, everything I've seen though tube about nyc over the years, is so amazing culture and food wise. NYC is great example of all nationalities and cultures living peacefully together , for the most part. nyc has a magical aura I cant describe with so much energy rich in cultures. hopefully one day, I'd be able to hit up the big apple.
👍👍👍
ذوق فني 😘
Oh….nice to know you have a twin 🙂
collards on the side washed bonnets in the front 😂😂😂😂old drawers to the left xboxS up the back
I’m so sad something like this isn’t legal in England (unless they’re willing to change their kitchen and do all the legal requirements) because sometimes I walk past homes cooking during meal times and I’m like wow 😂 wish I could come in and stop for a bite 😂😂
yeah i went to an apartment for a cooking class. was nice but not much space.
Nice portions. You definitely not coming out hungry like some fine dining places. lol
LOL in the projects. OOooo K. they didn't straighten up nothing. You are eating right next to his laundry bin. lol. got to say it did look good.
NYC is a beautiful thing
Had alot of trouble telling who Jon is lol
As a new york city health inspector, I will be visiting these establishments.
