I see Queens becoming gentrified with the unsightly new buildings replacing the atmospheric old homes. This is sad and pathetic, it looks like everywhere else with no distinction
This is going to be another nice drive around NYC with your dad from Queens Boulevard to Rockaway and it is going to be great have an awesome Tuesday and thank you AK.👋🇺🇲🖖
Every time I look up at the video, I see 1 cloud.
Hi Actionkid how are you mate ? Hope far rockaway is not that bad at least it’s not chilly here have a great Tuesday morning
The ActionKid , like The Ramones is heading to Rockaway Beach ⛱️. 🐼
The city can do itself a favor by restoring the 35 mph speed limit on Woodhaven and Crossbay blvd. to let the traffic flow ease. It was like that when I lived in Ozone Park 20 yrs. ago.
Love Queens. Its the most mysterious borough with a chill landscape.
Nice Actionkid. Wow they did not remove the blockbuster logo sign. They just blackout the sign for blockbuster. Blockbuster was featured in one of the episode of Family Guy. There is one blockbuster store that is closed which is now a chase bank at the corner of Main Street and Union Turnpike. I think most of the blockbuster store in Queens that got turn into another business. Staples used to occupy in Howard Beach and Duane Reade used to occupy there until it got flooded during Hurricane Sandy. A lot of changes in Howard Beach. There is birds nest on a pole somewhere. I don’t know if you spotted it. My mom Emily used to take this road when she used to work at USPS at 11325 Beach channel Dr Rockaway Beach. My mom has customers that lives there when she used to work as a carrier at USPS at 11325 Beach Channel Dr.
This reminds me of the long driving vids AK did about fours years ago . One was driving north from Rockaway thru Brooklyn across the Brooklyn Bridge ending in lower Manhattan The other was starting out on the Queens Blvd. in Forest Hills and ending up in Astoria . This is the real NYC !
AK was pretty funny with his comment about food trucks parked in front of that big cemetery . I do not think those past residences have a need for hot dogs and hamburgers in the present . While the living do not care , they are hungry !
A two-lane wide "service road"… That's insane. Queens Blvd should seriously be redesigned.
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
We ain't going to the beach😡😡
Thanks AK for driving us through my beloved NY. I used to live in Queens.
Hope your recovery is going well and will be completely healed.
Oh and thanks for not abandoning us during your very difficult time. You're quite a good man.
We LOVE Action Dad!!! The conversations between you two are the best! He is such a cool guy, like an Asian Christopher Walken! He brings the "more cowbell" to your videos! 😁. Speaking of Christopher Walken, did your dad ever go to his family's bakery in Astoria?
Nice video. I also like to travel around New York because this city is the best.
🚘👍
im more of a coney island guy
My old stomping grounds! I was born and raised in City Line and Ozone Park. I'm in California now and love seeing the city with your videos but this one especially…amazing
20:22, 21:45 Dominick's Hotdogs next to St. John's Cemetery. Your dad is funny, "Our clients are dying to try Dominick's Hotdogs." 😂😅🌭 54:03 That Blockbuster logo is a relic! The Rockaway Beach neighborhood is serene, and it was worth it going through the traffic on this long drive to get there. 😌 Thank you for sharing this drive with your dad, AK! 🤗
It feels like you're on a road trip to Far Rockaway Queens by taking Queens BLVD with your dad AK!😎😇🤩😍 Thanks for sharing that long trip!😌🤗
Great drive Action Kid. What a world of difference between Manhattan and Cross Bay Blvd/ Rockaway Beach, you’d hardly think you were in the same city, lol.
Omg this bought back so many memories. I’ve traveled those roads many times when I lived there. Thank AK
