Corfu: The Emerald Isle
Our adventure begins with breathtaking views of Corfu from the top deck of our ship, revealing its lush greenery and proximity to Albania. Once on land, we hop on the City Sightseeing bus, purchasing tickets to discover the island’s iconic sites. Our first stop takes us to Kanoni, where we indulge in some plane spotting and enjoy stunning views of the Vlacherna Monastery and Mouse Island.
Continuing our journey, we head to Mos Repos and the Anemomylos windmills, before exploring the historic old fortress and the vibrant old town. The bus ride allows us to soak in the island’s beauty while experiencing the local culture.
Valletta: A Glimpse of History
After a scenic sail into Malta, we dock in Valletta, ready to explore its rich history. Although we’ve captured this city before, its charm never fades. Our exploration includes the impressive St John’s Co-Cathedral, where the opulence of Baroque architecture takes center stage. We take a moment to savor a traditional ricotta pastizzi, a delightful local treat, while wandering through the main streets and encountering historic landmarks.
As our day concludes, we return to the ship to enjoy room service from our balcony, cherishing the moments spent with family.
