In the political arena, Canada’s response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s controversial tariffs and threats has become a focal point in the current election cycle. Party leaders are grappling with how to address this pressing issue as they make their final appeals to voters ahead of the polls. Mackenzie Gray reports on the Liberal campaign’s strategies and messaging surrounding economic concerns that have resonated with Canadians in the lead-up to the election.
Meanwhile, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is campaigning vigorously in Saskatchewan and Alberta—traditional strongholds for his party. Touria Izri provides insight into the final days of the Conservative campaign and its implications for the upcoming election.
In the United States, the political landscape is equally tumultuous, with growing alarm over the Trump administration’s immigration policies. Like many Canadians, I feel that many areas of our country have stagnated and even worsened under Justin Trudeau's leadership. Anyone who has worked for others knows, when our bosses give us flawed directions, our ability to execute effectively becomes constrained. Although it may not always be the case, but it did explain why Trudeau's Ministers may appear ineffective.
There are also a big differences between Justin Trudeau and Mark Carney when it comes to spending: what JT spent was a dollar for a dollar, for a short-term relief only. Mark Carney, on the other hand, spends a dollar that will multiply and contribute to the long-term growth of our country. Those are the big differences between someone who knows nothing about economics and someone who is a master at it. Such expertise proves vital when dealing with tariffs and making policies that can minimize spending for maximized outcomes.
Regarding claims that Mark Carney needs to be responsible for Justine Trudeau's decisions because he was JT's advisor – my question is: do we really listen to all the advice that is given to us? If not, what makes us think JT took Mark Carney's words to heart? Had JT done so, he would have avoided basic economic missteps.
The same logic applies to the decisions that Mark Carney made when he was working for the private sector. Ask ourselves, if we had had no intention to be in the politics then, would we have made different decisions when we were in his position? If not, why are we expecting him to do anything different in his jobs? Doesn't it make us hypocrites? Besides, Mark Carney has already disclosed his assets to the ethics commissioner and put them in a blind trust as required. If we keep pressing accomplished professionals' finances beyond asked by the law, we will deter future talent from public service.
On the other hand, how many of us would have the courage to stand up and take the job as a leader of a party tailing by 20% during a national crisis? After all, Mark Carney could make more money and live comfortably by staying in the private sector, with his status and earning power, instead of working really hard and being publicly scrutinized. Doesn't it speak volumes about his integrity and core beliefs?
It is true that after Justin Trudeau, we all want to have a change. However, changes don't always guarantee good outcomes, e.g. Brexit. Only when we make the right choices, will things get better. THIS PIVOTAL election demands us to set our biases aside and to evaluate candidates holistically – Canada's sovereignty and strength depend on it!

Dear Conservative Party of Canada
we legalized weed, now let’s legalize handguns, because what’s freedom without a little firepower? Let us sip American whiskey guilt free and be good neighbours. Remember ,like Trump said, you don’t have the card. So make the deal: save Canadian jobs, become the 51st state, open the borders, scrap the tariffs, axe the tax, and watch Canada boom like never before.
lol .. this already has become the 💩 show I was expecting from the start !
Guess who said this 🙄 🐍
“What the big companies are producing, by and large are not products that we are consuming, you know, a Steel company, how much Steel are you using these days Tod ?”
Everyone knows that the United States voted AGAINST condemning Russia for its attacks against the Ukraine. Also, Trump has said he expects Ukraine to give the United States their rare earth minerals as payment for their help against Russia. You watch, the United States and Russia will divide up the Ukraine for its resources, and there will be little left after that.
I know that people are supposed to be presumed innocent until proven guilty, but I wouldn’t be surprised if all five get away with it. And then people will know why more women don’t come forward to report such serious offences.
Never 51st state

PP = Trump
The judge realized the case is insane because the girl admitted on video that it was consensual. That means she'll lose and the judge will be targeted
No one has forgotten about the climate change grift, it's just that plenty of Canadians don't want to destroy Canada to pursue policies that don't work.
Any sane person would know Canada could never allow Trump and his Deplorables to run our country.
Carney lied to Canadians
Mark Carney IS NOT CONCERNED with the MIDDLE CLASS. Only a vote by Parliament can eradicate the carbon tax, something Carney failed to mention!
Mike Catney go go go.
of course it was a mistrial.. it was bogus from the start. and the news used it to pump the anti-man angle.
Singh couldn't stomach not getting a government welfare check for life, knowing there wasn't a hope in hell he would get the chance again.
