Those baht buses in Pattaya run a preset route. 10 baht standard fare. He overcharged you.
Just seen you are safe on Instagram from the quakes! Glad to hear it! Safe travels moving forward!
Really enjoy your travelling day videos
I get your point about the convenience of a taxi ride that takes 1 hour vs public transportation that takes 4. However you do have to factor in that $40 in Thailand is a LOT of money. So very informative video here about the different transportation options. The problem with the taxi is of course that it doesnt really matter what how many people ride with you, so my conclusion from that is that if you are a couple or a family even, definitely take taxis but as a solo traveler it just seems too expensive considering you can live an entire day with hotel with that $40 in Thailand.
Glad you are well.
Looks like your room in Koh Samet has a picture of a Cape Cod beach on the wall!
At the end of this vlog: no beer with your meal? Beer is missing!
alcohol timelimit country wide same in chiang mai
Hi Gabriel, That resort is so quiet—just amazing. It doesn't seem to be on the tourist path, but it's amazing, nonetheless. One thing is for sure: You're definitely promoting it now, and it's going to get attention from adventure seekers.
I heard news of earthquake in Thailand, take care of yourself.
The sea was so rough that I had a tough time stepping down off the boat onto that car tire that was mounted on the pier, the young girl behind me face planted and I think her phone (or whatever she was carrying in her hand) went into the Gulf of Thailand. Walking on those piers made of plastic building blocks (for the fast boats) was out of the question, they were rolling up and down.
Wow that’s an expensive breakfast!! Being in Walking Street is probably why.
No wonder the island is empty, there is so much of travel involved.. hope its worth the effort!
Gabriel you'll need a few days to recover from your trek to get to your next destination. Phew!!!!
19:59 very underrated album by the Stones. Love the baseline in “Silver Train.”
Shi dude are you ok?
I hope that you enjoy Koh Samet, I believe your main mistake on the way to Ban Phee was not knowing that there are mini vans avaliable between the hotels in Pattaya and Ban Phee. You could have gone to the reception of any hotel in Pattaya and booked your mini van. Maybe the next time.
Hope you're safe dude
Wow Gabriel
that was a work out with the busses

13:10 i thought you going for burger king
What an adventure. Look forward to seeing the Island
Officially no alcohol sales allowed 11 am to 5 pm throughout Thailand but you can always get a beer at anytime in the so called Mum and Pop stores .( family run little shops you see everywhere )
Hope you safe, watching the news about the aerthquate, my pray to the victims
The 2pm until 5pm alcohol ban has been law since 1972 (however it is regularly flaunted in tourist areas). It was introduced to discourage office workers from taking extended boozy lunch breaks and is currently in the news as they are thinking of abolishing it altogether as many people consider it outdated. In the UK we had a similar law where pubs would shut in the afternoon (3pm to 5.30pm) and shops would stop selling alcohol. It was only abolished in 1988.
This video was filmed yesterday, the day of the devastating 7.7 earthquake that hit Myanmar and also affected parts of Thailand and China. I think I was in the minivan when it happened, but I didn't notice it at all as it didn't affect this part of Thailand. So I didn't know about it until I started seeing others posting about it on Instagram, including Paddy Doyle, who also inspired me to visit Ko Samet, my destination in this video. Here's his YouTube channel, great stuff: https://www.youtube.com/@PaddyDoyle.
