A devastating fire has swept through historic sections of Vancouver Island’s Telegraph Cove, leaving parts of the resort in ruins. Fire crews were called to the scene on Tuesday morning, where they battled the massive blaze for hours.
Telegraph Cove, a popular tourist destination known for its picturesque views and historical charm, has been left with significant damage from the fire. The flames consumed several buildings in the historic section of the cove, causing widespread destruction.
Residents and tourists who frequent Telegraph Cove are shocked and saddened by the loss of such a significant part of the community. The historic buildings that have been destroyed hold special memories for many, and the impact of the fire will be felt for years to come.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, but the priority now is to ensure the safety of residents and visitors in the area. Fire crews continue to work tirelessly to extinguish any remaining hot spots and prevent the flames from spreading further.
As the community of Telegraph Cove begins to assess the extent of the damage and recover from this tragic event, support and assistance from neighboring areas will be crucial. The resilience and strength of the community will be tested, but with time and effort, Telegraph Cove will rise from the ashes and rebuild what has been lost.

Interesting!!! 🤔🤔

Thank you to the volunteer fire departments on the north island. You men and women are absolute heroes and we are so lucky to have you serving us. Though a lot of history burned up today. It would have definitely been worse without you!🙏
😅😅😅😅 Canada advertising Christianity bring refugees and immigrants given money welfare free pizza 😅
I see a large $-condo development in the near future. Psychic predictions 2025
Too many fires in recent months, its fishy here…
One of my favourite places on the island – never went north without stopping in – lots of photos of it and knew it when it was still part of the sawmill industry. Strangely – I am sitting on a box of whales teeth etc. destined for the Interpretive Centre (retrieved years ago from what was once a whaling station in Coal Harbour) – had not been able to get there to drop items off so hopeful they will somehow rebuild and I can still make the donation.
Donald Trump had some Americans start the fire to hurt the economy.
Let me guess, new development coming soon.
Anytime historic buildings burn down, there should never be a condo/housing development replacing them. It should become a public park/space for minimum 20 years.
This will stop arson intended to free up land for development.
Bye bye 👋. Never heard of it.
The tone of your presentation is ridiculous.
Canadas burning just like it’s government led by tyrant Trudeau SHAMEFUL
More woke arson

Who are arsonists? Guess
This happening on New Year's Eve targeting a historic place. Sounds like arson to me.

Which developer wanted the property?
Interesting, considering the Telegraph Cove Resort is under offer to be sold currently as well….
Never heard of it
another of my favorite dreamy memory places destroyed…
Let me guess, couldn't sell it and there's a recent insurance policy, hmmmm
It will take a long time to rebuild if insurance is involved.
no one said it's canada's trouble. canada should stop interfering in other countries matter.
"accident", look into the books, any loans taken out? if non of the historical cabins were burnt, then they are good. The buildings they mentioned were built in 1998, ere built in 1998 or later. Only a few historical cabins remain. Fishy for sure.
This is super suspicious, truthfully this place is for sale…hmmmmm
So Sad! If it was all shut off for the season, gee I wonder if it was intentional? 😢 seems kind of suspicious!
