The movie Argo made him look like a scumbag.. given what we now know about the movie industry I’m starting to question their motives
The coming history of humanity will appreciate at all times the contributions being offered by the team of 60 minutes.
I don’t know how the Shah treated his people but he sounds correct about Israel’s power over american interests is correct …
The Shah sounds brilliant lol it’s hilarious
Iranian women are absolutely beautiful !!! MAY FATHER GOD BLESS AND PROTECT ALL THE MIDDLE EASTERN WOMEN !!!
I was just a small kid when he was deposed in 1979, but listening to the Shah here talking with Mike Wallace, he was quite articulate, intelligent, and very protective of his country's interests. So much more articulate than those in charge of Iran today. His end was tragic, and it resulted in 47 years of instability in the region as well as the turmoil we're enduring today. SIncerely hoping this works out well for the Iranian people, not this current regime.
This is a very moving interview.
Iran changed beyond recognition after the 1979 Revolution
I remember when they were a western democratic country living in the the C20th. Very sad indeed
Really feel for the women in this country
compare this to Kamala Harris interview.
U.S Media Propaganda as now a bunch of liars and cia puppets
Well, this one aged particularly well: 2:19:09 Iran, Iraq and the U.S. (1990)
54:16 a “democratic Islamic state” lmao…
Lived thru so much of that history and recall many of these interviews. Such important context for what’s happening today. And so many unwise decisions from every direction. Will humanity learn before we really do blow ourselves up totally? 💔🤯😢🙏
Gen X kid here who grew up watching 60 Minutes. It’s amazing to see these vintage reports again 50 years later — hindsight being what it is.
Mike Wallace’s reports from Iran in the 70s & 80s was par excellence. Stands the test of time.
25:02 where we see how the Israeli lobby is too powerful in America . Nothing new here
Irans problem didn’t start 1979 it started 1953 😢❤
RIP our beloved prime minister!
1953 ❤❤❤😢
Watching and sharing this. I'm 56, this so called conflict has been going on my entire life. It's about time I understand what happened and will continue to happen until we WAKE UP to the manipulation and corruption of the US government.
Under the sheets is a fight between good and bad.
60 MINUTES I am trying to find an episode about an American Army officer who went to LIthuania to help train their army after the end of the Cold War. pLease find and post for me.
I hope that kid (1.56) survived the war. No way was he seventeen.
Loved it. Thank you.
The Shah was flawed but the regime that came after is so downright evil, inhumane, and negative for the whole world, there is no comparison. It will be total benefits for all to get rid of this old regime; political, economic, and social for Iranians, Muslims, and all people of the world. Too bad it took 50 years before something was attempted to stop them.
Your the best in the game when it come to covering these trail’s
R.I.P Mike Wallace. Definitely an O.G. in the GEO Politic world!!!!
Bruh. Mike W. Was in it for real!!!!!
Lol.. How the hell does he know about playboy??
About Three Hours in This is pretty good
Piece of history forsure 🧩
The people of Iran deserve freedom
At 4:30, absolutely outrageous that the journalist is asked that she cover her head, under the possible threat that the interview be cancelled if she stands up for for the culture and customs of her country. If Western women are forced, yes, forced, to cover their heads in some Islamist countries, shouldn’t people and governments in the West demand that women who come to the West from Islamist countries uncover their heads, because people in the West might find it rude, disrespectful, totally lacking in discretion, insulting and offensive? “Do in Rome as Romans do” is not a one-way street. Anyway, Iran’s sick, narrow- and short-sighted ayatollah, and Raisi, as well as several others, will not be missed by many, not in Iran, not in the rest of the world now. Hopefully the remainder of these people in Iran’s regime learn something this time around, for their own good. Btw, Hezbollah and other criminal and terrorists ARE in Venezuela, courtesy of Maduro.
Decades later and just 3 min in…we understand. God Bless Iran and Americans.
When he freed the Black soldiers and woman…its clear our government has made us fear Muslims and Iran for the sake of Israel, financial gain, power and sexual crimes against children..Black mail. Pure evil.
Today..You hear America, Israel & France and we know the truth. Corruption and Evil.
Here after my son is on his way to Iran on the uss george hw bush for some ish no one wants a part of
60 minutes should do a.follow up to the Shahs family thats still alive and there finances. This way we know the complete truth.
So they had the country since 1979 & they never got the population in a better lifestyle than the Shai did 50yrs ago and they wanna talk.bout stealing the peoples money!?😂😂
He “The Sha” was very honest..you can see because of his integrity how he was sacrificed for big oil companies through the CIA and others wanted to take over that position like they’ve done everyone else on earth..you can imagine how peaceful those middle eastern countries were back then like IRAN and Lybia etc..until the greed of the west got involved!
Watched it through. More than 5 hours of non-stop American propaganda, mis-information & disinformation trying to slander Iran for being sovereign & standing up for itself. American media, as always at their pathetic low.
🎉
Please did I hear "eventually Nigeria will not"?
1941-1979 iran Westernized us isreal Ally 1979-2026 iran threat to United States and Israel
After watching "Yanks In Iran", I'm not shocked that the Iranians took over the US Embassy, I'm only shocked that they didn't kidnap the businessmen too.
