So there's not going to be any sleepy head in a rental car. Not in Hawaii at those prices. I still might find a hammock though. It's a thought if I need a break from wwoof-ing. Gee, those organic farms even up the hours/day and #of days/wk too – in Hawaii. I'm cautious about being an unauthorized camper, but it sounds like we might find quite a few peeps 'living on the edge' there. Especially during an inclement weather event. 💚 Maybe I should get one of those $3 hammocks before I leave Guate. Thx Mr. M.
what is your favorite island?
That's the knock on Hawaii for the last few years is accomodation prices are really too high. Of course the food is high too. It's inexpensive to fly there from the mainland U.S. but after that all bets are off. Makes SE Asia look like a total bargain.
My son is there now. Outrageously expensive. I'm not interested in going. I loved Maui – but I stayed with a friend.
The last time I hitchhiked was in Maui in 2011
😊😎☀️🌊enjoy Gabriel! Looks beautiful! ❤
I’m not broke I’ve travel the entire word and Hawaii is the most beautiful place I’ve been too. Did a helicopter tour with the doors off in Hawaii went over all the amazing waterfalls and mountains. There’s so many beautiful beaches
Palmyra Atoll
Hi Gabe. When in NZ, would you consider what many visitors do, and hire a small motor home RV so you can travel with your accommodation? Many tourists wanting to get away from the cities in Australia take that option as well. I'm not sure how the prices would compare, though, with hotels etc.
Over rated tourist Trap . Build a Raft – set sail as soon as ya can. Myself i wouldn't go there unless I was ,Greatly ,,,, Paid.. …
Hawaii is Overrated. Hawaii's a place for Karens come to de-stressed their problems. Everywhere you turn, these Karens not even happy. Not worth it.
Hey Gabriel , I saw your last video here in Kauai, I live here in Kapaa, I would like to pay u a beer, dinner or just say hello, I am big fan of the videos. also I have a motorcycle you can borrow to go around the island for those days you're here , let me know, would be a pleasure to meet you
The Aloha alone makes it worth the trip, no other islands like it on Earth. Unless youve been there, youll never really know what I mean when I talk about the Aloha.
Lana'i is a beautiful island if you ever have the chance to visit! There's a hidden cove near the Four Seasons that is one of my favourite spots in the archipelago. Glad you're enjoying a nice little stopover before heading south!
After Trump won, you can visit the USA again. It´s so nice.
Gabriel you can probably answer my current dilemma. Should I move back to Hawaii (Oahu) or slow travel SE Asia?
The Big Island got that name because it is the largest island in the United States. It is about 4,000 square miles.
For the regular Australian the US dollar just makes Hawaii far too expensive.
Too slow paced there. Maybe a luau and hula dance show like at the Polynesian Cultural Center or Germaine's, aloha.
I've never been to Hawaii. I've known tens of people who have been to Hawaii — different islands. None have ever said it was over-rated.
Rediculously expensive
My wife and I honeymooned on Kauai in June 1989. And we have returned a number of times over the years with our kids when they were young. Stayed at the CoCo Palms in 1989. It was destroyed in
1992 by Hurricane Iniki. The last time I was there in 2011 the CoCo Palms was still in ruins and I hear that it still is. However, the island is magical! Kee Beach is the best.
Mahalo.
You came in summer of 1989, I left Oahu in February of 1989 after 3 years at Schofield Barracks. Remember living there like it was yesterday. Those North Shore beaches are unforgettable. I just hit Genius Level 3 and it has really saved me money too.
Great video Gabe,Kumo campsite looks great,I always go too campsites for my summer holidays, love the freedom!
Rather go beautiful Hawaii then grubby India lol😊
Kumbh mela has started brother… When will you come to India…. I'm your friend from Jodhpur..btw this kumbh which is called MAHAKUMBH or the great kumbh comes after every 144 year
👍
I already miss Mexico!
Nice Place. Gabriel, sorry you have to walk everywhere. Is there no Uba?
I'd love to visit Hawaii for sure, but i still think that the Islsnd is very overrated despite there are some beautiful natural places.
Aloha
Fascinating contrast in the accommodation prices. There's something for all budgets apparently. The campsite looks affordable.
How about Lahaina, Maui?
