Lebanese left in ‘great limbo’ after Israeli strike in central Beirut – FRANCE 24 English

The streets of Beirut were filled with fear and uncertainty on Monday after an Israeli air strike targeted an apartment building in the city’s central Cola district. This strike, which hit outside the Hezbollah stronghold of southern suburb Dahiyeh, has left Lebanese residents in a state of great limbo.

FRANCE 24’s reporter Rawad Taha, reporting live from Beirut, described the atmosphere in the city as tense and apprehensive. With limited evacuation centers available in a city already packed with displaced people, residents are left to fend for themselves in the wake of the attack.

The strike has only added to the already existing fear and anxiety among the citizens of Beirut. The fact that the target was located outside of the usual areas of conflict has left many wondering about the potential for further attacks in other parts of the city.

As Lebanon continues to reel from the effects of ongoing conflict and political instability, the Israeli strike in central Beirut has only served to further exacerbate the sense of uncertainty and insecurity among its residents. The lack of adequate resources and support for those affected by the strike has only added to the challenges faced by the Lebanese people in the midst of this latest crisis.
