The Estate of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has announced a new partnership with P3 Media to enhance and amplify the civil rights leader’s legacy in the film and television industry.
Intellectual Properties Management, Inc. (IPM), the estate’s licensing and management arm, has entrusted P3 Media with safeguarding and promoting Dr. King’s profound legacy through close collaboration. IPM will collaborate to develop new ideas that promote, preserve and protect Dr. King’s legacy and intellectual property, in addition to evaluating new opportunities to collaborate with other parties interested in utilizing Dr. King’s IP for creative applications.
P3 is charged with ensuring Dr. King’s life, timeless writings and history-making speeches serve as catalysts for advancing his ideals of nonviolence, racial justice and equality for all. P3’s management team includes P3 board member Ashley Bell, founder Adam Ciralsky and producing partner Gene Klein. The estate and media company has pointed toward the occurrences of historically inaccurate media projects. King, Inc. is now taking a more focused, intentional and proactive approach to presenting Dr. King’s life through television and film.
