Known for the beauty of its active volcanoes and its turquoise lakes, Guatemala is going through an endless economic crisis, making the country one of the poorest in Latin America. Whether urban or rural, all populations are affected and rely on their courage or the Mayan gods they worship. Tomas, a shaman, takes his apprentice on a pilgrimage in the footsteps of his Mayan ancestors to the city “El Mirador”, one of the most inaccessible on the continent. To earn a living, Anthony drives a taxi in a tuktuk. Faced with competition from urban areas, he decided to tackle mountain roads where only 4X4s usually venture.
