Mother in California fatally attacked by dogs following complaints from neighbors of 25 roaming Great Danes

A tragic incident unfolded in Northern California when a mother was mauled to death by dogs while walking on a trail where a pack of 25 Great Danes was running loose. The victim, identified as Davina Corbin, 56, was discovered by a neighbor on Blackhawk Trail in Feather Falls in the early hours of Thursday.

Authorities from the Butte County Sheriff’s Office revealed that Corbin’s body had numerous bite marks and injuries, with her clothing covered in DNA matching domestic dogs. A medical examiner determined that her cause of death was a domestic dog attack.

The incident took place in front of a home on the trail where the pack of Great Danes was roaming freely. In response, investigators obtained a search warrant and spent the entire day capturing the loose dogs, who were then placed in the custody of Butte County Animal Control.

This tragic event has shed light on the importance of responsible pet ownership and ensuring that animals are properly contained and supervised at all times. The community is shocked and saddened by the loss of Davina Corbin, and our thoughts are with her loved ones during this difficult time.
