Rescue teams are gearing up for a critical mission to enter the sleeping cabin of a sunken yacht off the coast of Sicily in search of six missing individuals. The yacht, which went down in the early hours of Monday, has presented challenges to rescue efforts due to debris blocking access to the interior.
Divers are being assisted by remote controlled vehicles that can navigate the seabed, allowing for extended search capabilities in the murky waters surrounding the sunken vessel. Among those missing are notable figures such as British tech tycoon Mike Lynch and his daughter Hannah, as well as Morgan Stanley International chairman Jonathan Bloomer and his wife Judy. Also missing are lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda.
The search for the individuals has entered its third day, with hopes high that the rescue teams will be able to penetrate the sleeping cabin on Wednesday. Authorities remain determined to locate the missing persons and bring them to safety as soon as possible.
As the rescue efforts continue, the families and loved ones of those missing are anxiously awaiting news of their whereabouts. The situation remains tense as the clock ticks on, but with the dedication and expertise of the rescue teams, there is optimism that a breakthrough may soon be achieved.

Case of Karma for evading taxes…
What about the really important news from around the world? This recovery mission doesn’t change anything for me or my fellow citizens, so why all this fuss? It’s everyone’s own risk to hopp on a yacht. Why bother the whole world when this goes south?!
I keep reading this as silly yacht rescue and thinking how brat summer of this silly little yacht
it is normal to be enraged at women
"That search" why is a fraudster receiving this almost saint like coverage?. The msm is becoming ridiculous.
6 rich people drowned. Days of news about it.
What about the immigrants who drown in the Med. and the Channel?
The people missing are dead get a grip and move on
What’s abhorrent at first glance is how & why the professional Yacht Captain FAILED to wake his high net worth VIP guests, including the owner Mike Lynch & alert them to the possibility of abandoning the yacht in the forecast storm.
That failure when the skipper clearly woke all of his crew & had all hands on deck attempting to save the vessel & consequently all but one (the chef & so likely uninvolved with the vessel’s safety during the storm) survived the strange & surreal sinking!
To capsize as it did points to the retractable 10.5 meter keel having been retracted & so the yacht not being as steady in the water.
But why would the Captain have the keel retracted in 50 meters odd of water depth? Especially when at anchor in choppy waters with storms predicted?
Initial consideration is gross negligence by the Captain of the vessel, similar to the negligence during the sinking of the Italian ship Concordia.
If the skipper felt it necessary to wake his entire crew & have them on hand, he should have woken his most precious of cargo his VIP HNW passengers & his employer the yacht’s joint owner Mike Lunch. The captain should have had them life-jacketed up & prepared for all eventualities.
Had he done so all would have likely survived or at least had half a chance.
Will be interesting to see what the investigation discovers. An avoidable catastrophe with human error highlighted would be my guesstimate.
That’s a mad face bro.
Karma
He said the captain survived what a clown what's an absolute clown of a presenter the captain is dead and went down with his ship as reported three days ago BBC brilliant in-depth reporting maybe the BBC should be jailed for spreading misinformation
Am I the only one thinking it’s suuuuuuper fishy? His 8billion fraud lawsuit gets thrown out of court.. shortly after, his co-defendant is struck and killed in a hit and run while jogging, then days later his yacht sinks?
They might find Robert Maxwell….
Life is so short for these tech tycoons
All that money….doesn't do you any good now does it? And every person reading this comment is better off than those 6 people.
Possibky…
Oh, a rich person's yacht with rich people on board sunk.
My heart breaks…
3 days. All dead by now. Let them rest in peace
Never forget our own troubles! Sort your home first before the world. UK first.
I feel they could have floated it by now 😅
Note to superyacht passengers: make sure the skippeŕ keeps the keel in the lowered position……
Raise the damned thing. Get the navy involved.
Good to see the English mentality on show. Gloating about someone dying just because they have more money. Cant imagine living such a sad peaheart life. Poor mentality, empty pockets.
Oh humanity.
the negative comments are rather sad , I bet they call themselves good christians
Main media tend to be in favor of closely reporting the rich which just enjoyed their life. So, I don't believe any reports from the media that claims truth.
