Police in South Korea have conducted a raid on the offices of Jeju Air and the operator of Muan International Airport as part of an ongoing investigation.
The investigation, which is being led by South Korean authorities, is reportedly related to allegations of corruption and misconduct within the airline and airport operator. Details of the specific allegations were not immediately made public, but the raid was conducted as part of the authorities’ efforts to gather evidence and conduct further inquiries.
Jeju Air is one of the largest low-cost carriers in South Korea, operating both domestic and international flights. The airline has faced scrutiny in the past for various issues, including safety concerns and labor disputes.
The raid on the offices of Jeju Air and Muan International Airport is a significant development in the investigation, as authorities seek to uncover any potential wrongdoing and hold those responsible accountable. It remains to be seen what the outcome of the investigation will be and how it will impact the operations of both the airline and the airport.
As the investigation continues, stakeholders and passengers will be monitoring the situation closely to see how it unfolds and what implications it may have for the aviation industry in South Korea.

dun blame boeing da flying coffin lol
Korea: Next, we will remove the concrete structure at the end of the runway as it affected the investigation (and pretend it wasn't there at all).
Senseless raid. Why was the wall there in the first place and no one is arresting the authorities responsible for keeping airports safe
South Korea flaunts itself as a 1st world, but money/greed/corruption still rules between government and businesses. Police raids on businesses are normal? Gosh, I wonder why. South Korea still hasn't learned anything since the last ferry disaster, which, ironically, is close to this airport.
RIP 🙏
If the pilot know there is an issue with the landing gear, why didn't he ditch the plane in the water around the area? He had time to go around, right?
In Japan, the CEO and gang will have a press conference, apologize and quit. In South Korea, they will make excuses and run? Geez! Better to be an American CEO then, you are still paid in the tens of millions even if it is your fault and got fired…..
Listen im a Luigi mangione fan but wtf the CEO gotta do with anything here 😂😭
Are they gonna arrest the mixer truck drivers who delivered the concrete for the berm wall also…??? 🙄🙄🙄
Not the CEO but the one who designed the reinforced concrete wall should be banned!
lmao ?
I see no point in taking this level of ban toward Jeju. After this incident, Jeju Air was doing all they could. We should make them work harder rather than getting bothered by police.
South Korean Police will blame Jeju Air for not educating their pilots that there was a barrier on the Runway at the Airport.
Just come clean!
I thought they said it was bird flight plus the concrete enbankment. Seems like the police is overdoing it to look good to the public.
something fishy with company for sure
There's nothing wrong in restricting CEO travel. 179 people are dead so ceo and entire airport technical staff should be under severe scrutiny until we found out the exact reason
Hot potato…as civil suits start…smh
seems a bit too late. what if they were preventing the acting ministers from leaving the country
원희룡 국토부장관 이 사람이 콘트리트 승인했어요
South Korea is broken dystopia.
This is what we do in Korea. CEOs are taken responsibility for the action/results of the company. Its written in the law. Its to uphold social responsibility/relations to the public as a whole. agree with it or not, but this is a country with Confucianism values.
KOREAN AND CORRUPTION BOTH ARE ALWAYS ON THE SAME SIDE
First of all they need to investigate whether the pilot was an experienced one. To check with the plane's malfunction history, then who builds a wall on a runway?
this looks like cheap theater to save face honestly
Don't see how it's the CEO's fault?
Why raid the office? The bird which flew into the engine was the main problem.
I read a couple of translated articles from South Korea. Not once did they mention "barrier" or "wall", only "localizer antenna".
It seems like certain interest groups are trying to control the narrative through compromised media outlets in South Korea, diverting blame to other factors.
They need to tell everyone why that structure was there
Guilty
Ban who built the wall 🧱
There is no doubt he will end up in Prison. Even something like pilots or attendants working beyond the time limit. The authorities are on the rampage.
The CEO didn’t put that concrete wall at the end of the run way. I guess they are trying to pin the blame on him 😢
The concrete barrier cause the fatal accident….🔥
"the landing gear malfunctioned" .. the landing gear can't malfunction.
Why? The landing gear was not lowered because of the pilot- it got nothing to do with the CEO or the company.
when they don't do orderly regular audits they have to do extraordinary raids
Does the airline own the runway and wall?
DW why do you keep reporting Landing Gear malfunction, when there is no evidence just speculation?
