Tesla Cybercab Robotaxi UPDATE | NEW Investigation Begins!
In the ever-evolving landscape of autonomous vehicles, Tesla is making headlines once again with its latest developments in the Cybercab Robotaxi project. This update sheds light on the ambitious expansion of Cybercab testing in Texas, highlighting new fleet sightings that suggest a significant growth in Tesla’s commitment to self-driving technology.
However, amidst this rapid progress, Tesla faces a new investigation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). With safety and regulatory challenges at the forefront, this latest inquiry raises crucial questions about the ongoing development of its Robotaxi network. The investigation not only underscores the scrutiny Tesla faces but could also impact CEO Elon Musk’s long-term vision for self-driving transportation.
As we delve into this update, we’ll explore emerging details on battery efficiency and advancements in Tesla Vision technology, which are pivotal to achieving fully autonomous operation. Join us as we report on the latest Cybercab fleet sightings, discuss safety concerns, and examine how these developments could influence the future trajectory of Tesla’s self-driving initiatives.

The part about Tesla Vision predicting crashes before impact was fascinating. I never thought 70 millise conds could make such a difference.
Am I the only one who thinks Tesla is moving way too fast with Robotaxis? The technology looks impres sive, but I’m not convinced it’s ready for full public trust yet.
People keep blaming Autopilot, but if the driver really pressed the accelerator to 100%, shouldn’t the responsibility still fall mostly on the human?
I’m curious how Tesla will handle accountability if something goes wrong. That’s probably the biggest question for autonomous vehicles.
Honestly, I trust Tesla’s AI more than most human drivers. Cu rious how many people actually disagree with that.
I honestly didn’t expect the Cybercab story to get this complicated. T he NHTSA investigation adds a whole new layer to the robotaxi debate.
I had no idea the Cybercab weighed so much less than a Model 3. That efficiency strategy is actually pretty impressive.
Interesting timing with the new investigation. It feels like Tesla’s robotaxi future depend s as much on public trust as it does on technology.

It’s crazy how Tesla optimized the Cybercab for cost per mile instead of performance. Makes a lot of sense for a robotaxi fleet.
👍🏼🇫🇷🙏🏼
Haven't seen one yet in the wild 😅😅😅
Cybercab 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I would like an explanation as to why—given the immense technological capabilities Tesla has achieved for true autopilot functionality (including the necessary environmental analysis)—they haven't implemented an automated hazard system for instances where suicidal drivers put their own vehicles at risk. Watching an irresponsible driver’s vehicle on a single-lane road—where there is barely enough room for two vehicles passing in opposite directions—feels like a gamble where "the house" (literally) has already won the bet against the murderous driver. That way, the next time an irresponsible driver takes such a lethal action (endangering themselves or those around them), the system would have documented data proving that the human was driving, not the autopilot. If this system isn't implemented in EVs, irresponsibility will simply proliferate wherever electric cars are used—not because of the technology itself, but because of irresponsible drivers "camouflaged" by an engineering oversight. And rest assured, the AI data recorded by the EVs in these situations will be used to defend the companies and the technology—as it absolutely MUST be!
