9,500-Mile Update on the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander
In this video, we take a comprehensive look at our long-term experience with the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander after clocking in a solid 9,500 miles. The Outlander has proven its worth as a versatile utility vehicle, especially when it comes to cargo space. With the ability to flatten both rear rows, it delivers an impressive 64 cubic feet of storage, making it the go-to choice for families and adventurers looking for flexibility.
Passenger comfort is also a strong suit, although we found ourselves wishing for larger cup holders—ideal for accommodating those Big Gulp drinks during long trips.
Performance-wise, the Outlander features a 181-horsepower inline-four engine that, while not the quickest or most refined, strikes a commendable balance between power and efficiency. After an additional 2,500 miles of testing, we’ve observed a slight improvement in fuel efficiency, averaging 26.8 mpg, and we’re quite pleased with this incremental gain.
