Starting from the Thirlmere car park, I’ll guide you on where to park and the best routes to begin our climb. I’ll share invaluable tips on the hike’s duration and difficulty level, taking you every step of the way to the breathtaking summit and back.
After our exhilarating climb, we unwind at the luxurious Rothay Garden Hotel and Spa in Grasmere. Enjoy an exclusive tour of our beautiful Loughrigg room and discover the spa facilities, including a hot tub, sauna, and steam room—perfect for relaxation after a day of adventure.
As the evening unfolds, we savor a delicious dinner at the hotel before exploring the charming village of Grasmere. We’ll stroll past William Wordsworth’s grave and visit his daffodil garden, all while indulging in some scrumptious ice cream.
The next morning, we’ll enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before heading into Grasmere to visit the famous Sarah Nelson’s Grasmere Gingerbread and Grasmere Gather, where local produce awaits. Finally, we cap our trip in Ambleside, picking up delightful treats like Kendal mint cake and fudge from the renowned Apple Pie bakery.
