Community Unites in Search for Missing Toronto Teen: Esther’s Story
The search for 14-year-old Esther, who was reported missing in North York just over a week ago, has captured the attention and concern of the local community. As family and friends continue their desperate quest for answers, they are joined by many who remember Esther from a feature story aired by Global News a year prior. The footage from that interview showcases a bright young girl, full of dreams and potential.
Esther was last seen near Bathurst Street and Hotspur Road, an area familiar and cherished by those who knew her. The community has rallied together, organizing search efforts and raising awareness about her disappearance. In the midst of this turmoil, a familiar face—the beloved school crossing guard from her neighborhood—has taken an active role in the search. This crossing guard, who previously gained attention for her kindness and vigilance, embodies the spirit of the community’s devotion to finding Esther.
The intersection where Esther was last spotted is now a focal point of hope and concern, with volunteers handing out flyers and sharing information, hoping for any leads that might assist in reuniting Esther with her family. As days pass, the urgency grows, but so does the community’s solidarity and resilience.
In a time fraught with uncertainty, Esther’s story shines a light on the power of connection and community. The collective love and support from those who knew her or were touched by her spirit serve as a reminder that, even in the darkest moments, hope persists. As the search continues, the hope is that Esther will be found safe and sound, and her bright smile will once again light up her neighborhood.

Shocking and shameful how many comments are suspicious of the parents before anything is known. Just because her parents are different is no reason to jump to conclusions. Very, very harmful. I hope she is found soon.
Would be nice if all missing kids were given the same media and police attention.
Hope she makes it home safely.
The mother is odd and needs to be looked at closer.
There’s clearly more to this situation than meets the eye. A 14-year-old sneaking out of the house at 11:30 p.m. without her cellphone suggests she may not have wanted to be found. It makes me wonder if she may have run away from home.
Oddly unemotional parents.
Parents know something else we are not being told just saying …..
heartbreaking! im in the westcoast. def looking out over here <3 i always am looking out for sus activities trust me. anyways, together we'll find her no matter what
Coming from a strict household/community like Orthodox Jews and being on the spectrum is the worst combo. People on the spectrum hate being held back or restricted. She probably wanted to be free…
She left her phone 📱 at home or they took it from her 🤔
We all know why you are covering this story so heavily!!! because of her background of a fake state
her parents seem OFF about this entire situation, its like they dont care. wouldn't surprise me if they had something to do with it
Dear Jesus, Please bring this Esther home safe! The Lord rebuke any adversary
I have seen this before and unfortunately this is a sign of suicidal ideation. I don’t think it will end well.
I don't find the crossing guard to be stable also parents don't seem genuine just my observation
Does anyone else find it odd that they haven't released Esther's last name? I know she's a minor, but it's been a week, and a lot of the missing children's cases that I remember included that info. Plus, her parents admitted they were "chasing her" through a park, she had no shoes, no cellphone and no money. This whole thing is bizarre; I hope she's safe and sound somewhere.
I hope she’s okay
Hoping she gets home safe.
Esther, we love you. Come home. If you’re in trouble, we can help you. Come home 🩷
Media spends more time hiding details then reporting them. Is this a Runaway? What's she doing out at Midnight? Is their friction with the Parents?
Those parents know something
Parents sketchy
She seems like a normal girl. Something odd about why she would just run off. They just let her out after 11pm? Someone wrote her parents were chasing her into the park, are they also captured on the cameras? Why just show a blurry still, show the full videos
They still haven’t found her? This is why we need to set up a neural link for the children. There are absolutely no side effects and children can send a telepathic message directly to 911. This will pinpoint their location. It isn’t difficult to implement. Their brain wave frequency simply has to correlate to a” Pre Defined” network at the police stations. Inserting microchips inside a child would be superfluous.
The parents are too calm and comfortable. If that was me (and pray it will never be) I'd be an emotional mess. This is odd behaviour especially this long, based on how many days have gone by and related statistics of finding missing children connected to length of time.
Hoping she's found safe and sound.
You know how F-ing sad this is?! Very.
Her parents dont seem concerned.
Esther please find a way to call a loved one❤😢
I’m also autistic and used to be suicidal back in 2023 and left one day but was found after just 10-15 minutes by my neighbors coming home from a party by coincidence. She’s going through the same thing I did when I was younger it’s very scary and sad.
Highest level would be an Amber Alert ASAP & Large Signs above highways, police covering downtown area around U of T. Maybe shelters, etc.
Why other black little kids ain’t getting this much attention
Oh gee I wonder who killed her
Strange how no other camera footage has surfaced. That neighbourhood has a lot of private surveillance cameras plus private security because of break ins and car theft.
Heartbreaking
Been watching a lot of investigations online on older cases it all starts at home a case in Nova Scotia where the Mom choked her daughter to death then pretended that she had no idea what happened and it was because her boyfriend said it's either your child or me so mom killed her just saying
Esther going missing in the middle of the night without her cellphone screams meeting up with someone she shouldn’t have been. Possibly someone older she met online 😩 especially given she has the mentality of someone years old. It’s horrific that predators can now find their way into our homes to target children via the internet.
I really hope she's found 🙏. I can't even imagine what her parents are going through.
this video is a bit late – should gave been put out days ago. video.
The thing is the dad is also laying out a dialog 'she is smart, she thinks steps ahead' = he is trying to suggest "she is so smart she can evade us thats why she's not found' & other conflicting facts are the phone being at home and her shoes . someone else said that the parents were in the park with her but didnt notice that yet. Most men can over power a 14 year old – they would drag her home and that accounts for the phone being there and the shoes. BUT the police have access to more data that they usually stay quiet about.
Anyone who took this baby, bring her back now!!! This is too much. May God bring her home safe. Check your door cam. We 🙏 for her to return safe
Parents stop letting your kids out without adult supervision!!!!!
This is so sad 😞 I hope shes found 😔
there’s also potential for the “if you don’t like it- go live somewhere else” type of emotional abuse. It will certainly put thoughts inside the child’s head
Cards: She's left in good spirits fast without thinking. She didn't know what to do once outside. Maybe have been hiding and or just walking around. She has already been found or will be very soon. Where is she: celebrating, in her castle, home or hospital, and police.
mormons or CLDS? Esther is a common first name among those groups
any ring doorbells in the area? cops aren’t asking people to check those… do these things point to the fact that the cops know what happened and aren’t putting 110% effort?
