Interesting that PTI is testing the Tesla Semi in Chicago instead of somewhere with easier weather. If it performs well there, that says a lot.
The fuel savings sound impressive, but I'm still wondering how much unexpected maintenance could change the math over five or six years.
I'm curious if any fleet managers here have actually compared diesel and electric trucks. Does the total cost really work out like this?
Does anyone know how much downtime the Megacharger network could add compared to regular diesel refueling? That still seems like a big question.
The one-million-mile battery target sounds ambitious. I'll believe it when we see more trucks reach that kind of mileage.
If the Semi really pays for itself in 2–3 years, I can understand why more logistics companies are starting pilot programs.
I wonder how much winter actually affects range under a full 82,000-pound load. Real-world data will be more interesting than estimates.
I'm not convinced every trucking company will switch anytime soon, but it does seem like Tesla is targeting the routes where the numbers make the most sense.
The biggest takeaway for me wasn't the truck itself,it was how much the economics matter. If the savings are consistent, that's probably what changes the industry.
🙏🧐🤍🤍🤍
Well presented. No fluff , just fact.
AND MAINTENANCE, BRAKES AND OIL CHANGE, FILTERS ARE ALL EXPENSIVE ON DIESAL TRUCKS MUCH CHEAPER ON tesla SEMI.
That's Sweet!🤩
ACTUAL OPERATING COSTS ARE ALREADY PROVEN.
🚛🚛🚛🚛🚛 trucking companies will save so much💰💰💰💰 switching to T semi and business and consumer🤑🤑🤑 will benefit also lower prices 😂
It’s very good thank you, but I can I have it in a French please because I don’t speak English

FSD is going to end this race forever. Pull the driver out and you save over 100k per year. What does that do to payback?
now,we,need to have a train concept, like Australia,,but in America,,to increase maximum profits, one unit, front, middle unit,,back unit,,moving,100,trailers,to be retrieved, locally..
The trucking industry isn't wanting on anything. They're buying Tesla semi trucks as fast as they can build them😂😂😂
