This week, Billboard’s New Music Latin roundup and playlist — curated by Billboard Latin and Billboard Español editors — features fresh new music, including new albums by Gloria Trevi (El Vuelo), Adriel Favela (Sueños de la Calle Vol. 1), and Fuerza Regida (111XPANTIA).
In the middle of his biggest tour yet, Ivan Cornejo has dropped a new single titled “Me Prometí.” In his signature raspy vocals that adds more pathos to his heart-wrenching songs, the Mexican American star steps out of his alt-regional sound that he’s pioneered to deliver a gorgeous acoustic ballad produced by Frank Rios and the artist himself.
Meanwhile, Grupo Frontera and Netón Vega team up for “La Buena Eres Tú,” which fuses the group’s norteño style with a smooth rap rhythm. Sonora-born singer-songwriter Gabito Ballesteros unleashes “Cleopatra,” set to be part of his upcoming album, Ya No Se Llevan Serenatas. A love song at its core, Ballesteros sings about a girl he’s crushing on. “No quiero a nadie que no seas tú,” he croons.
Other new releases include Alisun’s EP Vive En Mí, Lali and Duki’s “Plástico” and Ramon Vega and Carín León’s “Dueño de Ti.” Last week, fans crowned Cazzu’s new album Latinaje as their favorite release, with the set garnering more than 90% of the vote. The Argentine artist’s highly anticipated 14-track set, helmed by her longtime producer Nico Cotton, was released via Dale Play Records and Rimas Entertainment.
