SpaceX is gearing up for its second attempt to launch the Crew-10 mission to the International Space Station after a technical issue caused the initial launch to be postponed. Commander Anne McClain, co-pilot Nichole Ayers, and mission specialists Takuya Onishi and Kirill Peskov are set to lift off on Friday evening from the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.
The launch was originally scheduled for Wednesday but was delayed due to a hydraulics problem with a clamp arm that attaches the rocket to the launch tower. However, after completing inspections and resolving the issue, SpaceX is ready for the Crew-10 mission to proceed on Friday at 7.03pm local time.
The Crew Dragon capsule, atop a Falcon 9 rocket, will carry the crew members to the ISS as part of their mission. Despite the setback, the team at SpaceX is optimistic about the upcoming launch and is confident in their ability to safely transport the astronauts to the space station.
Stay tuned for updates on the SpaceX Crew-10 launch and follow along as the crew embarks on their journey to the International Space Station.
