The “So Near Yet So Far” dance has some of the greatest arm choreography ever😍.. she and ginger had superb technique and grace, but I think that Rita had just the right frame to match Fred’s. They are sublime together.✨
May Fred and his shapeshifters die paupers
I loved it not a fan of musicals but this was great Fred Astaire and Rita fantastic

Great dance numbers! Thanks!
Funny gaffe at 56:39…a background soldier with a shovel pretending to dig and smooth the soil with their shovel never touching the dirt…or perhaps they were trying to demonstrate the skill of pretending to work while evading effort
Wow, I know Fred Astaire, but I did not know RitaHayworth could dance just as good!
Muchísimas gracias por todas las películas de Rita Hayworth… De verdad…!
Excellent movie. Wonderful cast can't go wrong with Fred Astaire. and the beautiful Rita Hayworth,
Love Fred Astaire, but Rita is breathtaking! When she dances time stops. She is fab!
The dance scenes are absolutely enchanting! Pure magic! Their feet are so fast you could never copy what they danced. People don't dance with a choreography like this any more!
I'm 70 this movie was totally enjoyable. Sooooo much better than the News. 🥰
Fred always said that his favorite dance partner was Rita. The way she moves is so gracious and feminine.
Errrgolllkgeillr
WOW!
Wow Rita Hayworth is so absolutely beautiful!!!
⚜ I can't imagine @57:00, why they would have extras, pretending to be shoveling and sweeping without even touching the ground with their tools!
They are great together ❤❤
Es war mir ein Vergnügen! Dankeschön!
I just found this movie

Fantastic. Cannot get enough of Fred Astaire
Ce genre de film est le meilleur anti-dépresseur existant.
Un bienfait pour l'humanité.
Thanks.
I watch Fred Astaire's movies searching for the dance clips because the stories are usually sooo simple, but the dance is really good.
Delightful
Great danser he was,I have had the same energy in the 80s😂😂😂,still jealous wathing him👍🇳🇱🌹
A nice pelicula.
The dancing was great but too much Army involvement for me.
Towards the end, the sound became funny!
👌 WOW !
FIRST Astaire/Hayworth "Tap" & Memories FLOOD Home !
Not even 5 mins in.. Can't Wait!
مدير التصوير يستحق جائزة الأوسكار بحق, التصوير جعل المشاهد يشعر بأنه مع الممثلين ومع كل حركة من حركات الراقصين.
My Dad saw combat in the Pacific in WWII. He would have been delighted by this movie–lots of laughs, some cool moves…I watch to connect with him, to appreciate him better. Thanks for these artists!
Don't you just love a movie that makes you grin from ear to ear? And, while I'm no expert, I am more impressed by Rita Hayworth than the much praised Ginger Rogers. (Both are obviously good dancers. I simply prefer the more graceful over the more athletic kind of dancing.)
ENJOYED THOROUGHLY ❤
and that's how the USA won the war—-
Delightfully HILARIOUS ❤😂
I love these old movies. Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤. It was a wonderful movie.
"That's bracelet talk"….LOL..LOL..I gotta' use that line the next time I'm in the mood for sweet, sweet, sweet love……LOL..LOL..
That legendary dance routine at the 51:30 mark…Fred Astaire literally takes the nails out of the floor with him when this dance scene is over. Even the dust in the guardhouse cell jumped back to watch this. LOL. LOL.
I don't know about you but the guardhouse is where I wanna be. LOL. They got hot music, great dancing, you ain't gotta' work in no hot sun all day, and you don't have to take no orders from higher rank up in there, 3 square meals and a cot. Plus, Ria Hayworth walks by every once in awhile. All that's missing is magazines, comic books, a radio, and some tennis balls to pass the time with. LOL.
Wow. I never noticed it before….But when you put Fred Astaire right next to other actors in this movie, he's really thin. I guess dancing for endless hours every single solitary day must've help kept his weight down. Besides, most dancers, especially from this timeframe, didn't have a whole lot of extra body weight.
At the 43:41 mark…I just noticed something really haunting from one wide shot of the cell that Fred Astaire is in…Military jail is the only place where's there no segregation in 1941.
The insanely talented black musicians in the guardhouse are just incredible at the 41:43 mark! Soulful, bluesy, and powerfully simple and timelessly cool. Being in a bad spot, both mentally and physically, but still singing about and wishing for real love. I get it. Very smooth!
Geez Louise!..WOW!..Dancing from his entire amazing soul at the 43:30 mark…Damn, that is just breathtakingly awesome!…Go, Fred, go!…
