18 Noticeable Symptoms of Kidney Disease You Must Not Overlook – Video

18 Visible Signs of Kidney Disease You Shouldn’t Ignore: Synopsis

In the enlightening video “18 Visible Signs of Kidney Disease You Shouldn’t Ignore,” Dr. Eric Berg guides viewers through essential information about kidney health and the early warning signs of kidney damage. Positioned deep within the rib cage, the kidneys play a vital role in filtering blood and maintaining bodily functions. Unfortunately, many people remain unaware of their kidney issues until it’s too late.

The video outlines 18 visual indicators that can reveal potential kidney problems, such as puffy eyes, swollen feet, foamy urine, and dark circles. Dr. Berg emphasizes the importance of recognizing these symptoms early, as kidneys can endure significant damage without obvious signs.

Furthermore, he delves into the various factors damaging kidney health, including ultra-processed foods, low vitamin D levels, and poor sleep. The discussion also highlights dietary adjustments—like increasing magnesium and omega-3 fatty acids—that can promote kidney function.

This comprehensive overview not only raises awareness about kidney health but empowers viewers with actionable steps to prevent and potentially reverse kidney damage before it progresses.

Healthy kidneys are imperative to your overall health. The kidneys are situated deep within the rib cage, and have your adrenal glands on top. Each filtering unit of the kidney, called a nephron, contains a highly concentrated network of capillaries.

There are 1 million nephrons in each kidney! This number often decreases with age, although it typically does not cause many symptoms. Kidneys are very good at compensating, even if they’re 50% damaged.

One of the earliest kidney health warning signs is protein in the urine. At-home urine tests detect the albumin-creatinine ratio, which you want to keep below 30 mg/g.

The stages of chronic kidney disease are associated with specific percentages of nephron loss:
Stage 2: 20% loss
Stage 3: 60% loss
Stage 4: 85% loss
Stage 6: 95% loss

The good news is that if you catch kidney disease in time, it can be reversed.

The following factors often cause kidney disease:
•Ultra-processed foods
•PFAS
•Insulin resistance
•Medications
•Low vitamin D
•Low magnesium
•Low omega-3s
•Poor sleep
