In a recent video released by The Wall Street Journal, viewers are given a rare look inside an illegal drug lab that reportedly fueled the Assad regime in Syria. The video sheds light on the dark underbelly of the Syrian economy, highlighting the illicit practices that have helped prop up the authoritarian regime for years.
As the Assad regime continues to crumble, there is growing hope that Syria’s economy can transition into a more transparent and free-market system. However, the video exposes the challenges and obstacles that lie ahead as the country tries to move away from its dependence on illegal activities.
The video showcases the various stages of drug production at the lab, revealing the sophisticated machinery and equipment used to manufacture illegal substances. It also provides insight into the dangerous work environment faced by those involved in the production process, highlighting the risks and hazards inherent in this illicit industry.
The video serves as a stark reminder of the ruthless tactics employed by the Assad regime to maintain its grip on power, including the exploitation of illegal drug production. As Syria looks towards a new future, it will be crucial for the country to dismantle these illicit networks and establish a more sustainable and ethical economy.
Overall, the video offers a sobering glimpse into the seedy underbelly of the Syrian economy and underscores the importance of transitioning towards a more legitimate and transparent economic system in the post-Assad era.

REPENT SINNERS JESUS CHRIST SAVES ✝️✅
Crazy to think in a matter of a month, the cries for freedom and market based economics are loud. We must do everything we can to help stabilize the Syrian people toward the global order.
You Americans are amazing at planting evidence (or creating narrative to justify yourself)😂😅.
Good job 👍.
Wait for ELON….😅😅😇🤯
Any idea of the mass Christian population there??wat if a government who opposes other religions take over??
These pills are produced by both the Syrian military and the rebels. It's a money making machine. The Wall Street Journal should have started that clearly. Yes, this factory might have belonged to the regime, but each rebel group also has countless drug factories.
Bald and bankrupt beat you to it WSJ.. scooped by Benjamin again!
Destroy a country's economy with years of war waged by Hillary-CIA jihadist terrorists and follow that up with the now familiar crippling economic sanctions and this is one of the by-products. Syria was one of the biggest friends of the US during the post-9/11 GWOT, and this was the thanks they got in typical American fashion. Do you think this will turn out well, as opposed to what happened to Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan?
Democracy will never work in the Middle East , it’s a system designed for individualistic societies not collective societies and the Middle East is a collective society no matter what you do people will not vote for the most ideal candidate if they aren’t part of their tribe , religion or sect . Plain and simple
"Illegal"… riiiiight….
Fake news now working with Sharia law muslims to bring you more fake news.
the same can be said about hams the PLO and even the syrian rebels and lots of others
the same can be said about CIA and MI6 and all others
Unbelievable, such dark secrets 😔💔.
Welp, that proves that all world leaders are thugs dealing in drugs/guns.
!!!I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 385K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% annually in dividend returns. any good recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated..
Assad is Evil?!
They all know that this nation will fall apart into civil War you have factions making plans within plans looking to seize power and taking over the country continue selling drugs and whatever they can to be rich 🤑 and crazy 🤪 they don’t care about the people they only wants power and control.
<Breaking News> Magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred in South Africa on the 24th
So fake as Afganistán.
Unbelievable how WSJ never ran a report about how the West promoted Opium production in Afghanistan and providing security to drug trade with their troops.
Bald and bankrupt BEAT Wall Street Journal there!
lol
Lol
I'm calling BS….
How about…."Inside an Illegal Trump Sudafed Lab"
May Syria achieve secularism.
Hard to believe that a YouTube travel blogger Bald and Bankrupt beat the Wall Street Journal at its own game
That is why they are called economic sanctions for a reason
Fake news
breaking bad in syria
Sanctions didn’t prevent middle-class Syrians (the ones who would be chanting for secularism in Damascus) from getting the latest model iPhones.
Also, if anyone thinks HTS is going to shut down the multi-billion dollar Captagon industry rather than profiting from it, they are probably abusing Captagon themselves.
In every state, the PEOPLE are the POWER.
And America does the same thing
US citizens have given BILLIONS of dollars to Cartels, violent gangs, China, NK, and other countries all in drug money. The mass migrations at rhe US southern boarder ar largely a result with drug money fueling violence which forcesnay to migrate north for safety and a better life.
Get Assad and his goons into court
All dictators probably do the same. No respect for law and order or respect for human life. Putin Xi Kim ayatollah etc
I think that a secular Syrian state is unlikely at this point as the rebels who overthrew Assad are not secular. The best they can hope for is a tolerant Islamic republic, but once a government is established then restrictions on protests and free speech will gradually increase according to past precedent. I hope to be wrong about this.
*My body my choice
Guess what, the islamic state will take it over and just do the same thing.
Bald and bankrupt was there first btw
I knew it from Benjamin "Bald and Bankrupt"
How is that different from when the US went to Afghanistan and started growing poppies?
Biggest business aside from oil in Arab world.
It seems you may have overlooked the wonderful celebration of the Syrian people and instead focused solely on those who protested for a secular state.
Syria's rebel leaders have control of the country. Now what? https://on.wsj.com/4j5uBZZ
