Living Alone in Paris: A Journey Through Museums, Routines, and the Quest for Home
Join content creator Elena Taber in her latest vlog, “Living Alone in Paris… Museums, Routines, & Am I Moving?” as she reflects on her incredible journey in the City of Lights. It’s been a whirlwind year and a half since she made the bold move to Paris, and in this heartfelt video, she reveals the highs and lows of living alone in a city that’s both magical and challenging.
From the tranquil corners of Paris where she finds solace, to her morning routines filled with the soothing skincare products from Typology, Elena takes us through her daily rituals. As she sips coffee and enjoys the beauty of her surroundings, she also opens up about her evolving relationship with Paris, friends, and the pull of home.
Through visits to iconic museums and lesser-known gems, Elena seeks to reignite her passion for art and self-discovery. She discusses the importance of connection and the effort it takes to forge new friendships as an adult, while also embracing the beauty of solo nights filled with cooking and cozy movie marathons.
Will she stay in Paris, or is a move back to New York on the horizon? Elena explores the notion of stability and routine after years of living as a digital nomad, presenting an introspective look at what it means to build a home in a foreign place.

Don't come back to America until the orange clown is gone! Enjoy Paris!
Great, you got another sponsor. Your French is much improved. When you can dream in French, you'll know you actually understand the language.
I'm so proud of you!❤
I've heard English speaking language learners call this type of person a "Language Mother."
the Typology looks fine on skin but omg cannot get past that sour smell on my face
Oh how i love your content! x
I’ve enjoyed your videos, but you’ve lost a subscriber with your “toxic patriotism” comment. People are entitled to their own beliefs and there is no reason to be ugly towards people who disagree with you.
My favorite book: A Moveable Feast.
Good day, 😊Happy too see you
your french is getting so much better!!
Re: Bucket Lists—-> life is a bucket list. Living the list. I think you are doing that, too, Elena. Thank you again for the shares.
Im glad you have been a YouTuber all these years and brought thousands of strangers along for the ride. You have been to amazing places, both in the states and abroad. I'm glad to have experienced alot of them along with you.. through your videos. If you do decide to settle somewhere that's ok…we all like somewhere we can call home at the end of a long day. Thank you for all your wonderful videos/blogs 🫶💚🍀🍀
I am glad you discovered l'hôtel de Sully. It is a very quiet place in the Marais, the kind of place that you only discover when you live in Paris.
Your fall off needs to be studied
We moved through similar seasons miles apart. I left a well paying corporate job and all the friends I knew to take a gap year. Which turned out to be more than a gap year. A year and then some. I also thought I wanted digital nomading but then well nah. You grow older and want to live for the people around you too. Now thinking to shift to another country but build a base and home there. Still nervous as I am also approaching 29, but life came with no rule book. So we gotta take a chance. Sending you love from India❤
Can you share the name of the cafe where you met with your friend, Ambre for the mini French lesson? Merci!
Great video. Why does it hurt your brand deals if you live abroad ?
Hey Elena where is your green bag from at 11:03?
I love your videos
Your french accent is already great! 🙂 I would be interested in hearing you speak about hair care… My hair texture is similar to yours, and I have a hard time finding advice on straight/fine hair that has a bit of a wave!
"toxic patriotism??" I love traveling and teaching in Europe, but I love my country and its heritage and find nothing toxic about being patriotic.
lol as Paris is burning down, Muslims stabbing babies and phones stolen out of your hands you’re wondering “what’s going on with America”
English, please
❤ Hemingway
Your accent is sounding great! Now, you just have to learn to speak a mile a minute lol. Any ideas where you’re thinking about moving to next?
Could you share where your silver jewelry is from? Particularly your chain necklace. It’s so hard finding good quality silver pieces. Thank you!!
Because USA is massive, it is taking me a lot of time, otherwise would have wrapped up long time back.
wow! you speak french real good !
Beautiful… how would you describe Paris weather in January?
J’apprécie beaucoup Elena ses petites phrases en français…continue c’est super❤
Great video and Have a great weekend.❤
If Patriotism is toxic then I’ll be toxic every damn day.
Great vlog 😊
So glad you find love 😊🥰
7:57 this. works for me. When you’re with others, discomfort makes you hide in the safety of the crowd. But when you’re on your own, you can’t escape it — you have to face it, process it, and grow from it. That’s where real personal growth begins.
100%……I'm an American living in Switzerland ..and I totally agree…..I miss the US at times.. .but things are toxic over there
French sounds good on you 😋. Hello from Romania 🇷🇴
Elena ton français est ouf !! Franchement bravo tu peux être fière de toi 🙂 Question: could share with us your favorite restaurants / bars in Paris? I’m Parisian, born and raised, but like most of us I always end up going to the same places I adore. It would be great to see the city through a fresh pair of eyes!
Bisous ♥
